When she awakes tomorrow around 6-7 pm I'll have to ask her. We'll be at the family Christmas gathering until 8-9 in the morning so I'm sure she will be asleep all day tomorrow.

Feels like a good day to post this song, about as festive as I get this time of year...

Now I sleep. Wonder if I will ever get used to these parties? Though to be fair by about 0330 I would say it was more just a family sitting around a table talking, laughing and telling stories then a party.

But now sleep, yes much needed sleep.

So, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

My parents are going to my godparents' for Christmas. I'm super jealous. I miss my godparents so much.

  11. My daughter has officially won Christmas. Her boyfriend installed a remote starter in her car, bought her a Luna concert uke and a Taylor 514ce acoustic guitar (sweet, sweet tone). Mildly jealous.

I, on the other hand, am enjoying a fresh brew from my newly unwrapped Keurig. I'm un-grumpy at the moment.

Ooo, remote car starter = mega tits on a cold day. I can start the Challenger from my master bathroom while I shave. First World'd!

I think my old lady has that topped:

She got a ton of clothes from Express and a Kahr P9 setup (gun, mags, holster, pouches, carry bag, eye/ear pro and break-in ammo).

Are you using these? If not, you should be.

    ...

    I got a mug for X-mas; I'm pretty happy.

It's one of those adult sippy cups.

  13. Yep, your old lady wins the Warrior Class. The daughter has to settle for Minstrel.

The Keurig came with sample packs, and my son also gave us another assortment of K-cups and one fill-your-own thingy. Most of the assortment is rather uninteresting (people actually drink hazelnut coffee?). I'll use up what they gave us, then do the re-fillable. It has a rather coarse mesh and I wonder how nicely it will clean up. Gonna save the link you provided in case I'm dissatisfied with it.

The worst part about having a woman that is into your hobby is that you can't not buy her the best of everything because you remember how you had to wade through all the bad decisions of buying off brands and cheap crap.

I'm totally satisfied with how the EkoBrew cups work. Fantastic design. Saves a ton of money and the environment.

  15. How I feel about my daughter and our stringed things.

How do they work with non-coffee stuff like hot chocolate, teas, ciders? I am the most hard core coffee drinker around here. QW and the daughter are into cocoa, chai, and other stuff along those lines. I'm thinking I'll have to lay in a supply of prepackaged things for them while I go into roll-my-own mode.

I have no issues with ground coffee, loose tea or tea bags. Usually for hot chocolate I just run the thing without any filler and stir the powder into the hot water.

  17. Duh. I thought of that right after my last post.

Don't feel bad. Pretty sure I stood in front of the thing for a minute one day thinking, "How do I get the hot water thing to make hot water?"

No bad dreams reported. "M" awoke and one of her first questions, after 'did you make coffee yet?", was "Is there any turkey left?"

I got five bottle of some type of alcohol from her family, apparently even though I rarely drink anymore, they must think I'm an alcoholic. Well my liquor cabinet is well stocked. Anyone who's interested in coming down and helping me empty a bottle of 28 yr old scotch just let me know. Also got a very nice, very needed watch and a much needed 18v cordless drill. The drill is exactly like one I lost in a vehicle fire. Overall very happy and thankful for the thought that went into the gifts I received. I shopped for "M's" family while in the states in early Dec. and they each received gifts that would have cost us double down here. Plus thanks to a green light, likely due to a long line and many storm delayed flights at customs, I had no customs fees added. All the men in her family got Maui Jim sunglasses and all the ladies got Coach bags from us. "M'" got a Coach bag, wallet and a pair of Prada boots she's been drooling over for the past six months or so. They weren't cheap but she looks pretty hot, not to mention happy, in them so well worth it in my mind. Overall I think everyone was very happy with what "Santa" brought them from up north.

Picked a copy of Fallout3 for the PC for my Christmas gift from my parents. So much easier to play than with that horrible PS3 controller. I strongly suspect I would be saying the thing about the xbox controller if I had one of those systems; the consoles feel completely alien to me with anything except for the racing games or likely the fighting games I don't have.
