Curled up in bed, heater finally working, pouring rain outside (37*) and I'm flanked by two chilly kittehs. Nice end to my long, cold day. Hopefully, a good start for my very long day of driving tomorrow.

The day is approaching to give it your best
You've got to reach your prime!
That's when you need to put yourself to the test
And show us the passage of time.
We're gonna need a montage. (Montage)
    A sports-training montage! (Montage)

And just show a lot of things happenin' at once.
Remind everyone of what's goin' on. (What's goin' on?)
And with every shot, show a little improvement
To show it won't take too long.
    That's called a montage. (Montage)
Even Rocky had a montage! (Montage)

In any sport, if you want to go
From just a beginner to a pro
    You'll need a montage. (Montage)
    A simple little montage! (Montage)

Always fade out (Montage) into a montage... (Montage)
If you fade out it seems like a long time (Montage) has passed in a montage... (Montage)
    Montage... (Montage)

    Anyone want some fried chicken?

I drove through KFC for lunch. I wanted an 8pc bucket because I was going to eat some for lunch today, have leftovers for lunch tomorrow, and maybe a piece or two for a midnight snack at some point.

What they carried out to me was two 12pc buckets.

They said "just go ahead and take it, we'd have to throw it out anyway."

What am I supposed to do with 24pcs of chicken?

Freeze some, maybe give Stanley an early Thanksgiving?

Stanley could help you out with that problem if you ask him nicely.

  11. I do a weekly comic strip on a gaming site and I don't even play video games.
I think I am mostly just confusing them.

We probably will freeze some, and I let Stanley lick some crumbs and scraps. But I can't give him whole pieces because of the cooked chicken bones.

I was just going to say..."nooooooooooooooooo, don't give chicken bones to a dog!"

Related: I went to high school with a girl whose grandparents bought a bucket of KFC every week for their two dachshunds. They would tear all the meat off the bone, portion it for the week, and heat up a portion every day. Those were seriously the two fattest dogs (relatively speaking) that I have ever seen. I felt so bad for them :(

Yeah, I know better. He occasionally gets a steak bone that has been grilled (depending on size/shape, no "T" shaped bones cause he tends to swallow them before they are chewed down enough), but typically it is only raw beef bones. I have heard that raw chicken and pork bones are ok, but I won't give them to him. His weight has stayed between 113 and 119 for the last ~3 years and the vet says he is in basically perfect shape. We feed him a few scraps, but not that many, and it is usually some lean meat or the like.

Even off the bone, if i gave my dog fried chicken he would have explosive diarrhea for two days. He has a sensitive stomach.

Made it past the week mark so far with the "post a picture day" thing. Would be a smidge easier if my own rules allowed my DLSR and macro photography, but this has actually pushed me to go out and look for shots or stop at points that come to mind just to meet that quota.

Haha...no. Stanley just seems to have a fairly cast iron stomach. He's only thrown up a handful of times ever. It's not something we worry that much about unless he's gotten some major treats within a short time period. Sometimes we ration his bully sticks out if he eats them too fast, but otherwise he's pretty good about not getting sick.
