Ok, it's cold enough here today that I am whining to myself about having to put on jeans and a sweater to walk the dog. Winter has come to Florida.
(Tomorrow it will be in the 80s again)

 

When I was there back in 2001 (ish) it was 35f. I expect better hospitality when I head down there in about 2 weeks.

 

I highly doubt it will be that cold. Even when it does it rarely lasts more than a day or two.

Listen, I'm not saying all women love Chapstick, but, like, the last dozen I've slept with always rubbed it on their mouth-holes with enough intensity that they should have just been taking bites out of the tube. It's like catnip for girls.

Not to sound like a Debbie Downer, but I've been a hormonal mess and crying a lot this week, and my lips get really dried and cracked. I got a free stick of the ChapStick hydration lock, and holy shit, it's awesome.

Based on your history and travels I'd guess you'll do fine. I have a couple down the road from me who ran a bar in Thailand (have not asked what kind, umm) for 20 years and are now retired here. If you're used to other cultures and are willing to "roll with shit' you'll be fine. But I've known countless folks who move here, buy a house and car and are gone within a year, at a big financial loss, due to the "they do what here?" factor. I read a lady's blog one day where she wrote four paragraphs about waiting six hours to get her vehicle plates. By the time I read half of it I knew she wouldn't be here long. She wasn't her last blog entry was something like "fuck this mother fucking place... home, now please!" Her whole blog lasted seven months and quickly went from "Wow, what a beautiful place full of wonderful people" to "fuck this shit hole and these asshole mother fuckers!" Yes, yes you need to be in the US not here, have a nice flight home.
