This reminds me of a commercial I saw recently of a birdhouse that you attach to your house window with suction cups.
It lets you view the inside of the birdhouse from a two-way mirror on the back of the birdhouse.
    Have you seen it?
They also have a bird-feeder version.

I've seen—and owned—the feeder version. Getting another is certainly tempting!

  3. It's 11-12-13

Well, at least in the states. Don't Canadians do it all backwards? 12-11-13?

    Oh Canada.

Thanks, I didn't even realize this. I like these types of dates.
We won't see this again next year with 2014, but other countries will. 12-13-14

So their ad campaign is "we're second best" black is better? Um, I'm no ad exec. but that sounds a little like Dominos "we know we used to suck but promise we changed."

That was their grey suit slogan. They make all different styles and colors, even tuxedos.

The Sharp Classic - Garrison Bespoke

    Sacha - Garrison Bespoke

You have to set up an appointment for a fitting and to choose your cloth and color. I've heard that they cost about as much as a small car though.

Small car as in Tonka or Toyota... I mean there's a bit of a difference.

I can get a suit made here cheap but they always raise the price when they see I'm not 5'2" and 150lbs like the rest of the population. Still for about $150 I can get a nice tailored suit.

But y'all, these are BESPOKE suits. Gag. I hate that word. It's so overused and generally comes across as condescending.

If you have two stores, side by side, making the same quality of goods and one uses bespoke as part of their signage/advertising you can almost bet ill go to the other place.

There's a place around here that makes custom made alligator/ostrich belts, bags and handbags. They've never had to use the word bespoke because their products speak for themselves. Newer company trying to do the same thing of course has bespoke service. I'll never buy one of her bags because its so pretentious sounding.

I agree that bespoke is overused/misused much too often.

The true meaning of bespoke should really only be applied to suits and it should only refer to a suit made completely from scratch. And by that I mean most suits calling themselves are Bespoke are actually made to measure -- the pattern exists, they just adjust it to you. Bespoke suits start with a new pattern.

Huh. I've actually never heard (or seen) anyone use "bespoke." Then again, I don't buy many suits.

  17. Me either and I read a lot of pretentious crap.

It's running rampant around here. We have a hotel who produces their own magazine called, you guessed it - bespoke. Just no.
