I was watching a livestream of the movie Trick'rTreat on YouTube, but they're experiencing technical difficulties...

 

After dog/house sitting since Thursday, it's nice to be back in my own bed.

 

It was an interesting night. He didn't offer me any lotion. But I did catch him throwing a kiss at my shoe. He wasn't at all into playing question and answer with me so we ended up talking about movies and he showed me some card tricks. One of which totally blew my mind. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out how he did it.

 

Um. Wow. OK. Guess I can sleep now.

 

I'm sitting in my recliner, reading and posting at PR. I am already addicted to the games and have ideas for a couple of new ones which I need to test whether fun or do-able......
I wish I'd been able to meet Uncle Phil - he seems like a person I would have really enjoyed. R.I.P.

 

the book edits are done. i'm hovering in a space of disbelief.
i took out hundreds and hundreds of unnecessary hyphens.
i had to fix the italics that the copy editor imposed globally that made it impossible to figure out what sentences referred to (the group or the journal of the same name)
i had lots of little copy edits to add.
i went through the whole ms in order to purge remaining thickets of passive voice. they were mostly hiding in the second half of the ms, past the point where tiredness made it difficult to see things.
it took A LOT of time.

so now i am just sitting here.
soon i will send this back to the editorial collective.
all that remains is deciding how annoyed i should sound in the email that accompanies the ms.
because much of the work was correcting things inserted by a copy editor or missed by him.

 

I just realized that i don't care if i never hear Marshall Crenshaw ever again. Annoying.

I'm suffering too. Now it's stuck in my head.

 

It wasn't even that song that was playing. Just another Marshall Crenshaw song that sounds exactly like it. Because all Marshall Crenshaw songs sound exactly.the.same.

 

I think there's something in the air..... I woke up with a song in my head for 2 days now and it won't go away.
I even thought about starting a thread regarding this because I wondered how many other people do this?
Is it just normal? People who listen to a lot of music? What do others say? Happen to you?
