Just picked up two "new" cameras for $26 total.
The minolta is one of those straight manual types and the Canon is a Rebel from 1990. Of course body only for the Canon at that price, but it should work with my nifty 50 normally on the DSLR if my research was correct. No loss waiting for a lens that will play nicely if not.

Yeah, it's 40 here. Sheesh. I wish it would at least wait until November.

It snowed by me yesterday. The ground was way too warm for anything to stick, and it changed to rain after about 25-30 minutes, but there were big fluffy flakes coming down for a while.

  6. I got your brrrr, right here. It was 27 yesterday morning when I went for a 3+ mile walk at 6 am. Then I saw snowflakes around noon. This has been a spectacular autumn but it is soon to change. I thought @warrrreagl's post the other day was so appropriate

yesterday i spent vaporizing passive sentences from a chapter in the book. i suspect this the last extensive edit. but i have expected that before. trying to get rid of the ms by the weekend.

    today, i found this:

Kim Jong Il: A Brief History

    Blessed Nascency

In 1941 a magical hummingbird visited the people of North Korea foretelling the birth of Kim Jong Il.

Later that year, the hummingbird's prophecy was fulfilled atop Mount Paektu, the highest mountain ever. Kim Jong-Il emerged, walking out of his mother's Patriotic and Revolutionary vagina six months prematurely and without the aid of a physician thus rendering the Korean medical community irrelevant. In shame all doctors fled our Great and Innovative Nation never to return.

    Heroic Maturation

Our Versatile and Cosmopolitan Leader has visited all seven corners of the Earth. While averaging 300 points a game in the NBA he discovered art among the cowards and homosexuals of Europe. He wrote Hamlet, painted the Sistine Chapel and composed Beethoven's Fifth Symphony in a single day--and still had time to capture a cheetah with which to weave his blessed mother a fur coat.

    Political Legitimacy

In 1994, Kim Jong Il's Exalted Father, Kim Il-Sung, died like a true revolutionary hero, falling out of a hot air balloon and thus becoming immortal. At this point, a national vote was taken and it was decided by a margin of 13 million to one that his Wise and Benevolent Son should succeed him.

The lone dissenter was beaten to death with chickens by an angry mob even though his errant vote was an accident. For this reason (Safety of the People of North Korea) voting is no longer practiced.

    that is all.

The recent bombshell regarding the senate expense scandal here in Canada reminds me that Stephen Harper is worse for Canadians as a prime minister than Rob Ford is for Torontonians as a mayor.

Think about that for a second. That's all it should take.

Holy shit, people voted proven liars into a majority government (and the election was held only because they lied)!

I seem to be having a difficult time understanding that, it might help if you placed it under a super-sized McDonald's meal packed with enough sodium to kill a healthy adult male horse and less nutritional value than the paper it is packaged in.
