    Just spent the last 6 hours coloring and playing Jenga with a 12-year-old who tried to kill her mother. Next!

    Also, another student nurse and myself did wrap-up group for our unit (child and adolescent) and we handed out these forms to the kids for them to fill out. One of the questions was: what are two goals you have for tomorrow? And one of the teenagers (who had just been admitted while we were there and who was still a bit cranky) filled out:

    1. eat
    2. smoke

    I seemed to be one the only one who thought that was funny.

    And, for the record, these fucking teenagers are far more intimidating than any of the adults I have met on these units. And I've seen some things on the adult units.
