    yesterday i went to see walter gropius' house in concord massachusetts.
    i accidentally passed walden pond.
    i was surprised by minuteman park and the legions of tourists.
    one group appeared to be chinese. it included a man who walked toward north bridge wearing a fake white beard and a jacket tied around the front of his waist so it looked like it as hugging him. he was carrying badminton rackets. apparently, he was the party surveillance representative working under cover.

    My two cats slept in our bed all night last night. We had a crazy windstorm. I think it scared the both of them. Ruff slept in between us most of the night. It was nice to have something to cuddle with.

    Max wakes me up at 8 am on a Sunday, flying around the apartment like a whirling dervish. I get up at 8:30, feed them around 9 when I make my egg (fresh from the farm, woo hoo!) and some juice. By 10 am, he's konked out and there's nothing for me to do until my research meeting at 2.

    I may leave this internship with a Bengal-skin rug.

    Power went out last night at around 6:50 and stayed out until 10:30 or so. I went to bed at 8:30 after some board games and wine. My husband stayed up to make sure the clock got reset and our phones got plugged in. It was a nice, quiet night except for the noise outside--it sounded as if we were in a dishwasher.

    It's going to be a wet week.

    I stepped on the back patio about an hour ago. There was a bag of tomatoes hanging from my fence post, on my side of the fence. I don't think it was there last night. None of my neighbors have gardens.

    But I love tomatoes.

    Is it a trap? :p
