Pointless Announcements

In truly awesome news my knee decided to hurt just because. And I was being nice to it and sitting down. Soooo looking forward to actual winter weather.

 

No, I passed the Net+ back in March. I will be taking the MTA 98-365/366, which are Microsoft Technology Associates Network Essentials and Server Fundamentals. Similar to Network+ and Server+, but geared towards eventually getting the MCITP.

 

Tried the 'installing 12-13 year old software on a vista system' trick today.
Hard Truck 2 throws a bigger hissy fit than a Methodist at a whorehouse, and a kid's baseball base from 1999 on a cd-Rom works. Here is the good part; this game just runs from the cd. They do not even offer the option to install it. When you do run it, your only choice for resolution is what looks like to me like 800x600 at best. Which is absolutely stunning on a 22" LCD of course.

 

It's only November, and I'm already considering moving to Africa.

 

Is it really that cold in North Carolina? I mean, you lived in Ohio for all those years. How can North Carolina be bad?

 

Tired sick 3 year old with not much sleep all day or previous night and dad with no sleep whatsoever makes for a fun day and even better evening. Getting flashbacks to my days at ITT Tech and UPS where I lived on something like 3 hours a sleep any given (good) day during the week.
Perhaps I can channel my dislike of the poorly chosen overplayed holiday music into energy to help keep me awake tonight.

 

It isn't bad during the day, but it's been dropping to the 30s at night. And believe me, in Ohio, I'd break out the mittens, scarf, and hat in early October. I am not a cold-weather person at ALL.
