Bought some new earbuds today because the ones that came with my SIII last year finally bit the dust. Actually really pleased with the purchase.

Now to continue the coding binge.

 

Time to get dressed and head out for my first mental health clinical day. I feel nervous and excited.

 

Carsick. Cats are nauseated, too. Three miserable beings, 6.5 hours minimum to go. *sigh*

 

Pointless update: jacked the air conditioner, too a pee break, cloudy skies. We're all feeling better.

i just got the book ms back so i can load a final round of copy edits.
many of these fix the copy edits the previous copy editor put in.
my favorite is: the book is about a group that published a journal with the same name as the group.
so regular font refers to the group, italics to the journal.
it's not ideal---they should have made up a different name for the journal. but they didn't.
in the most recent version of the ms, the name is everywhere in italics because the name is in french.
so reading it, you now can't tell when a sentence refers to the group or when it refers to the journal.
they all refer to the fact that the name of the group is in french.
the word version of the ms is 500 pages (arial, big font big margins, not to worry).
i get to go through every single fucking page in order to determine what each usage of the name of the group--and topic of the book--is referring to.

plus i feel like i am coming down with a cold.

One of the clients I work with has this in their collection.

 

Tonight was interesting. Spent the majority of the evening playing cards with a gentleman who has bipolar disorder. He was definitely in the manic phase. I feel mentally and physically exhausted.
