The battery on this Samsung sucks ass, 4 hours mostly on standby with tbe screen black and it has 12% left. Going back to iPhone real soon.

My SO has the exact same phone and got hers at about the exact same time. In fact she talked me into getting this phone. My old iPhone 3 was having some issues and I probably was headed to another iPhone but she convinced me with the same phone we'd be able to share pictures, songs etc... easier. That's not worked out ll that well and her battery sucks ass too. She tells me it's not that bad but whenever I stop by her work her phone is in the charger so hers must be going dry within a day as she charges it next to the bed every night.

BTW- Have I mentioned it's FUCKING hot here lately? Holy flaming balls from hell it's hot. I have brand new A/C's in the house and on full bore I can get it down to 85f. Plus now I no longer have a vehicle with A/C so any trip during day light hours is miserable. I was going to see if I could just go without a vehicle as they have buses, however said buses have no A/C. 30 hot sweaty people riding in a bus makes for a shitty ride.

 

Ugh. This is way too early in the morning. Good thing I am still a bit drunk.

I should reach sobriety somewhere over Hong Kong.

I get it, man. The a/c needs recharging in our car and the electric windows only work in the two front doors.
If it wasn't for bugs flying in my face, I'd probably ride with my head out the window like a dog.

Donuts for breakfast, Culver's for lunch (care of one of my co-workers), and now tacos for dinner. Doctor Who, beer, and possibly ice cream later tonight.

Today continues to be fucking awesome.

EDIT: Oh, and I found a way to watch the Tigers play online. Miguel Cabrera is still an absolute freak of nature, and I'm loving every second of it.

Well, my trucks A/C was about due for a recharge however has anyone who's seen the latest photos of my truck they know that's no longer an issue. I did get a funny call this morning- had my transmission flushed and a coupe seals replaced a month or two back and the shop owner phoned to ask if the tranny was still working alright... "Um,that would be a big no but not due to any work you completed. But thanks for calling." I e-mailed him photos and simply got back "Holy Shit!" in response.

 

My going away party is turning into An Event. The Man just booked a band. Our friends who volunteered their house are going to kill us.

 

Never seen the show but now I'd like to meet this men of men.

I've met celeb's on occasion and usually walk away disappointed. Jack Nicholson and Chuck Yeager were stand outs though my interaction with each man was extremely brief. I saw "Jack" walking on the street in downtown PDX during a Lakers/Blazers play-off series and he had he just finished his Joker role. His jacket was bright purple and his shoes were lime green. As he passed I said "Nice shoes" he slowed down, raise an eye brow and said "You like them? I made them myself" and continued on in the other direction. Yeager I met at a Blazer game just prior to tip off. As a young kid he and all the NASA pilots were like rock star in my world. I asked for an autograph. He signed the back of my ticket stub. He had to be close to 70 and had some 25-30 yr old knock out his arm. As he signed my stub he made some flirty comment to his companion. I said "I hope you're referring to the lovely young lady and not me." He paused, looked me up and down and smiled saying "I don't know. What are you doing after the game?" Both he and the young lady then walked off toward their seats.

I've met several other "stars" as the town I lived in on the Oregon coast has been a back drop for more then a few movies- "Goonies, Kindergarten Cops, The Ring 2 (which my daughter is in for s brief moment,) a few scenes of Men of Honor and many many others. Most encounters I've had were more of a "who are you and why are you in my presence?" type moments.
