    It just never occurred to me someone would take out money I put in the "check folder." Of course after being asked to pay for three extra laundry "balls" it might have been something I should have considered. Live and learn... someday I'll get that down.

    No dogs, they're just getting too old to get in and out of the truck, thankfully in this case as we were on the way t the beach and might have been on the trip.

    You should have seen the looks on the by standers faces when we hoped out of the back of the truck. The whole cab by that time was engulfed. I'm sure they thought we were goners.

    Love me some whales.

    One of the coolest things I've ever seen was an orca a few feet off of our boat in Saratoga Passage in the Puget Sound. We'd been salmon fishing. After we saw that guy, we decided it was time to quit since he'd likely eaten or scared off all of the fish.

    there are whale watch cruises out of gloucester, the next town over. i hear that in previous years seeing them would be easy peasy, as they'd hang out in great number in an area about 3 hours offshore. this year, for some reason, there's about 10 of them. spread out, too. apparently the whale watch people are hoping that folk will drink early and often on the trips this summer.

    I enjoy whale watching on the Oregon Coast during the Gray Whale migration. The best times are usually at the end of December when they're going down to Mexico and then March when they're coming back up.

    You rarely see a whale. Just the spouts. Some day SOME DAY. I will see a fluke.

    They are talking about a report that just came out saying that the overwhelming number of "selfies" people are posting and sharing on social media are driving their friends and family to annoyance.
