    My wife was horrible at History and Geography in school. She's not dumb, she just has a hard time with timelines unless she can see them written down. And she's impossible with maps, even to this day.

    She loves genealogy however, so she's always bugging me about my family history. Today we had a lengthy discussion about what 'Scotch-Irish' really means, when the Plantation of Ulster took place, when many Scotch-Irish (including my ancestors, one of whom signed the DoI) moved to the New World, etc. This led to eleventy-billion questions about all the regions of Great Britain and what makes up England and what makes up Britain and what makes up the United Kingdom and so on.

    I finally said, check your email, I just sent you a link.

    She starts going through that link reciting everything I had already told her and got all excited. Then she goes "This doesn't help me at all." I'm like "huh? you were just saying you finally get it". She says "yeah, but I'll never remember it all, so I'm going to keep asking you".

    Doh!

    See guys, this is what I get in exchange for celebrating 3 BJ Wednesday this week. :p

    I ran by the "after" of a car @ ~35 MPH vs. park semi trailer this morning. It wasn't pretty, but there were no obvious injuries and at least one of the police cars responding went by me 4 or 5 minutes before I went past it.
