Pointless Announcements

I knew she was married to Neil Gaiman, but for some reason I was under the impression she was strictly a performance artist. I am extremely late to the game on this one, but I, um, kind of just fell in love with the Dresden Dolls.

 

3/4 in thunderstorms per day of the week this week.

Never heard of her. Making a guess that she is not a "American Top 40" type that I somehow usually have a vague awareness despite not having much of an interest in it.
So far I am doing a smashingly good job staying ignorant of recent country music. Probably should check out whatever Rascal Flatts has released in the past 18 months or so though, I like their previous albums.

I've known who she was since I started on Twitter a few years ago. I was following Neil Gaiman and they were working on a book at the time. I've followed her since as she's interesting.

Can't say I really like her music though (and I really want to like it).

 

Be careful, there's fine line between biased and delirious.

Ok, maybe don't think about it just do it.

 

Just did laundry at a 24-hour place a couple of lakes away for the first time in 3 weeks (there was a lot because I had guests for 8 days). Anyway, there was an old guy mopping up. He's a lifer here, and turns out he knew a now-dead mutual friend who introduced him to my grandfather for whom he worked clearing brush in our back field. He was here when I was here and he described the gaggle of kids present--my cousins and probably me. We are talking 45 years ago. So yeah. Small planet.

Also, since I've been so quiet on TFP of late.
The laundromat dryer died and most of my clothes had to be hung up on the clothesline when I got back to the cottage as I was out of quarters (though the old fella gave me a loonie for my trouble--loonies don't work in the dryers). It's been hotter than the hubs of you-know-where and after sweating it out at the laundromat, and hanging clothes both inside and out here at the cottage, I felt like jumping in the lake--so I stripped and did so. No one is here, just me and my dog so I relaxed in about 2 feet of water doing the dead-man's float and indulging in nighttime sky watching. It was perfect. Obi dug it, too.

Broke two miles today. That felt pretty good.

 

Glad I was in a different hotel than my coworkers so I could have hijinks in the city without having to be paranoid that I might offend them for existing.
