Pointless Announcements

    I had scheduled a few extra days off both before and after the Fourth. I spent about 8 hours today completely repainting Stanley's (aka guest) bedroom. Just got done with the second coat.

    It was a light blue-gray before. When I picked out the paint this morning I meant for it to be a little lighter of a blue color. However, the more I painted the more I liked the brighter blue.


    I asked him, he didn't seem to mind either way. ;)

    I think I was more tired when my alarm went off this morning than I was yesterday morning. Weird. Also, the Gas Station Lady talked me into buying a pack of "XTREME" (!!!) Pop Rocks. I considered putting some in my coffee, but I think I'll wait and enjoy them after lunch.

    Today is a "straw that broke the camel's back" kind of day for grad school. Currently glowering at everyone in the corner and job hunting in between setups.

    Last week, Bryan Adams got his laptop fixed at the shop. Today, Alan Parsons came in. I had to bite my lip both times to keep from singing to them.

    Took one of those 4 years ago. I expect it to be at least 2 years before I take another one as defined per the typical meaning, but I will gladly call paying the bills working only job during daylight hours with an actual sat/sunday off a vacation at this point. Or at least a goal to reach.
