I just woke up and the only website I've been on is TFP.

 

I didn't know. I have all those things either disabled or don't subscribe. My phone, right out of the box, as soon as I entered my e-mail account info started setting up auto log ins for a ton of shit. Nuts to that- I prefer not to be bothered with stuff until I chose and then I sit down and catch up on events.

Found a nail in a tire, but luckily it was replaced with my spare tire. I think the tires I bought a few years back have a 40,000 miles warranty so I should be still good. I hope.

 

Goat cheese pizza with mushrooms, eggplant and fresh avocados sliced on top. Doesn't sound right to me but the taste is outstanding.

 

Sitting here with my girlies. Just finished watching The Descent. Moving on to The Hangover. My shoulder doesn't hurt, but I feel really, really warm. Like a furnace. Got the fan sitting here blowing on me full blast. Jesus. Not sure what that's about. Maybe my tattoo coincided with the onset of menopause.

 

Most tire shops I deal with offer free repair on the tires they sell. Nail punctures are fairly common. I manage a fleet of a dozen vehicles and get a couple tires fixed a month.

 

I do that, too. It's like I'm afire... it's pretty normal after a tattoo.

 

Avocado tastes amazing on anything.

 

I bought a new set of tires not long ago and within a few weeks had a sidewall completely tore aprt by some metal in the road. That was the one kind of damage not covered by anything, warn. or ins. The really bad part was I could not find an exact match anywhere. The brand simply stopped selling that model. So now I have one tire that's not a match.

 

I suppose it's the inflammatory response. My body's all like wtf, bitch?!

No, I don't think I'm supposed to do that. Besides, it's not the tattoo site, it's more like a generalized fever. I took an ibuprofen. Hopefully that will help.

 

I worked with the BTs which became MMs as Jun e 1996 if my memory serves. We used to see the Hull Techs around, there was this cute one named Jennifer whose face I can recall sitting here still. 4 pump room was their space but we (Oil Lab) had some of our fuel storage tanks and bulkheads stops to check for certain fuel alignments. When you entered that space you could almost taste the CHT from the smell in the air.

 

They phased out BT's? Didn't know that. That used to be a major part of hazzing- going to get a BT punch in the boiler room. Along with other favorites such as mail buoy watch and a trip to the bridge for some relative bearing grease were main stay greetings to greenhorns on my ship. They sent me to get a BT punch my first week but the look on several guys face gave it away and I declined.

I spent a week in long beach going to CHT school. They flew me there from Japan and put my up in a decent hotel with a nice per diem rate. I thought it was great until I got back to the ship and was instructed to rebuild all four CHT pumps. We were in Brisbane Aus. for almost three weeks and all my division went into five section duty. Four days off and one day of duty. Everyone but me and another guy, Miller. We spent the first week and a half finishing the last two pumps. Everyone was coming back with wild stories of crazy chicks and wild parties and we were working 14 hours a day in hot, shitty smelling pump rooms. When we finished our Chief told us we had liberty the last week and a half. I never saw Miller again. No idea what happened to him but he did not get underway with us and was not waiting for us in Soma when we arrived a week later. For all I know he's still wandering around the Aussie outback with a couple babes.
