Something tells me your problem is more easily solved than mine. ;)

Man, it's not even 10 and I've gotten so much done in the two hours I've been awake. Maybe the residual effects of my concussion are finally starting to subside. I know this spring was really hard because I had trouble focusing and getting myself organized. I couldn't put my finger on whether it was a minor depressive episode or something caused by the TBI in March. I feel like my motivation has returned. Goodbye, case of the fuckits.

So, Tully Mars, I hear you.

Injuries and illness can really sideline you. I turned 50 in June and it takes me forever to get healed from stuff it seems. I had a concussion in the navy while I was in Japan. The shuttle van driver rounded a corner and forgot they drive on the left side of the road. Long time ago, maybe 84 or 5' I'd have to get my file out and look at where I was when to be certain. Anyway getting a ride back to base after a night of drinking, no one's wearing a seat, belt next thing I know I'm on top of the motor cover next to the drivers seat. They took me in and some navy doctor said "Ah, he'll be fine give him five days light duty." I kind of remember walking up the gangway and I kind of remembering racking out that night but not much after. I spent at least a week sleeping in my rack 23 hrs a day. Every time I'd get up to use the head my lights would just go out and I'd pass out. It was like someone threw switch and my whole body would power off immediately and drop like a sack of potato. I'd wake up in an empty berthing area on the deck and not have any idea how I got there. My division chief told me to just stay racked out until I felt like I could work. I really had no clue, just a young dumb kid. Years later while working on getting my EMT cert. I found out just how crazy that treatment plan was and how lucky I'd been.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Stay healthy.

I guess it's nice to know my husband trusts my judgment. He told me to order the part for the washing machine. Hopefully it will be here by Monday.

  9. Cleaning the apartment, off to play with MOAR puppies and kitties (will try not to gush about it this time around, but I make no guarantees. Maybe a picture will make it's way to the Pets thread, instead.), then a stout or two or five at the local microbrewery.

    I love vacations.

    YOU.

Donate a few bucks to the site or I will find a picture of you in Post Yourself, get it printed on the front of some really tight white briefs and then display it in all its glory in TEx.

    FINE.

Can you keep your panties on until I get my new debit card in the mail? I'm still fixing everything from getting my account compromised//half my account stolen last weekend.

Time for a nap that will masquerade as an actual round of a good nights sleep. Sounds normal enough after a double shift before starting another double shift. at least the pay will be.....at least the hours are go.....um....at least I can avoid that dreaded "oversleepitis" that happens with more than 3-5 hours a day.

Had a spontaneous trip to Bloomington overnight, then drop the dog and hang around in Rockford while she was getting spayed. Saw lots of farms, lots of cows. Loved the break from the GO GO GO of major city.
