2. No matter the outcome, it's still pretty embarrassing that the top seeded team had to take a 7 seed to game 7 OT. Just saying.

We're a young team, and I honestly wasn't expecting much from them this season. I expect us to be much more competitive next year, where hopefully we'll run into you down the line in playoffs.

 

I have seen 3 minutes of hockey I think, at least if there is that much in Happy Gilmore.
Ooh, just remembered that film The Mighty Ducks. That brings my hockey viewing time to somewhere in the 10-15 minutes range. Those penalty shots where they slamdunk the puck through the field goals can be really tense.

The Red Wings were quite impressive. Especially in goal. I thought they played above their regular season record in the playoffs. Will miss the division rivalry next year with the realignment.

 

Long work day ahead of me. 7-7:30ish. Then I come home, change clothes and go out on a date that I'm fairly excited about. Officially, just a meet and greet, but you never know.

 

Is it just me or is hockey like basketball, it seems to never end.

 

Dole is in front of my office giving away Banana Dippers this morning.

 

Since we're making lists:

1. Detroit sucks.
2. Detroit sucks.
3. Detroit sucks.
4. It's not that surprising considering the rivalry. There aren't that many other comparable rivalries in hockey, at least on the US side.
5. The way I'm reading things, Detroit is built for a run in 2014 or 15 but has serious cap problems after that.

FYI - I suppose that #1-3 make more sense if you're a Chicago Blackhawks fan. If you're not, let's just say that it's a chant that will randomly start up while the Hawks are playing. The Red Wings do not have to be present for that to be chanted.

Damn! Invite me next time! I can be your risk analyst there to make sure that they can something something RISK!

I had a slew of unpleasant and/or weird dreams last night. Including, but not limited to, zombies (that one sucked), attempting to seduce a former coworker, driving back to Clinton (ugh), sneaking around a random apartment complex, and getting in a fight with my parents for taking too much Tylenol because they thought I was on hard drugs.

 

Large factories are awesome.
