    Front row, April 25, 1997 in Moline, IL. Me and my buddies got there 2-3 hours early because we didn't know how long it'd take us to drive over there, and because we had General Admission tix for the floor. We ended up being the first people in line, and stood front and center. Veruca Salt opened. I remember that they had some slow rock ballad and the lead singer was 6' away from us on the stage. During a quiet moment in between lyrics my buddy screamed in a high pitched voice "I LOVE YOU NINA!!!" and she actually started busting out laughing and giggled through the next line in the song. Good times.

    I saw Bush/Veruca Salt in Portland a few weeks after that :) Damn, that seems like a long time ago. We were worried we were going to be late because traffic was terrible. My friend's mom drove us since we were 14, and there was no MAX into Portland from the West Side yet. We thought we were sooo cool because our parents had all trusted us to go to a concert at the Rose Garden by OURSELVES and then we had to walk three blocks to the Lyons restaurant on MLK to meet my other friend's mom so she could drive us home at almost midnight. It was quite the adventure for three young teenage girls from the suburbs.
