Yep, going dancing. But on the way downtown I will stop and have my chakras aligned.

 

The demanding public absolutely KNOWS that Fifty Shades of Grey looks better in HD, so much easier to read about the "inner goddess" and the back-lit screen helps you find the garbage can when the first irresistable need to vomit happens at night early on in the first book.

 

Since I found a home on the shelf for my record player/radio/CD player, I've started leaving the classical station on every time I'm home alone. It's nice.

 

Anything stand out to you more than the rest?

I've been doing the same more and more lately, CinnamonGirl. It's so incredibly relaxing and I love it when I'm reading.

 

I would be sad without a turntable. I have a $150 model I purchased brand new back in '02 I think for my 33 and 45 transfers or just to play them at times, and I acquired a late 70's model from my sister and brother-in-law with the 78 option and 8 track. That one just cost me the new diamond tip stylus. I shake my head in disgust at the cheap ones they sell at work. The 8 track player works wonderfully but as I have clearly seen 8 tracks are the worst media I have tried for long term viability. I have 60+ year old records in fine shape and the 30 year old 8 tracks were not even workable for me in a practical sense.

 

Anybody need this? First come first serve.

I heard a piece by Paganini that I really liked. I tend to favor the Romantics, and I like strings much better than brass. They're playing a block of Latin American composers right now that I'm digging.

The only thing I've heard on this station that I haven't liked so far was the block of Opera. I like some operas, but listening without watching didn't really do it for me. Everything else has been pretty fantastic, though.

I'm on the opposite end...I finally have a turntable, but all my vinyl is still up in Ohio
