    After seeing the Braveheart looking characters that Gory's Sun posted earlier and (still) being happy enough that I could guess what show/film they came from, I am more inclined to watch at least one episode of this Game of Thrones show. I have no problem skipping the books and going right to the far more limited television medium for now.
    If I can find it somewhere for free at least.

    "Free" does not exist in their vocabulary. I am willing to go the iTunes route but not prepared to pay for something that I may not even finish or like. The boxed sets are easy enough to find online if these do strike my fancy.

    In all honesty, being in the line of work I am, they shouldn't give it away for free. They routinely put out great series and have revamped themselves so they deserve to make cash off of it. It is no easy task to create a series such as this... just sorting through incoming raw alone is something that I loathe.

    ...but...

    that's why there are jr. editors. Mwuahahaha!

    I'm especially glad it's CinnamonGirl 's birthday since it meant that when I got home from work, I got to see all this GoT humor in one place.

    Agreed, I have no problem paying to watch a good series (usually means buying the box set for me) or giving money somewhere like Netflix for an outstanding series like this new Hemlock Grove. I just cannot call this Thrones show "good" yet, but if it only $3ish for the pilot then I can watch it in decent quality and possibly walk away easily enough.

    Stanley hates pools or the ocean. I have no idea why. I made him get in the pool when we were on vacation and the house we rented had one. Both times he immediately swam for the steps, got out, and then wouldn't have anything to do with it. He's cool getting splashed and running around it, but he doesn't want in. The surf throws him off on the beach, so he doesn't go for that either.

    BUT, if there is a nasty, muddy, disgusting creek, river, pond, or lake, he's all up in it like nobody's business.

    Maybe he just hates clean water. :p

    He tolerates them. Usually he figures out a bath is coming, so you have to make him get in the bathroom. Once the door is shut he knows there is no use fighting it so you tell him "over" and he climbs in the tub. And if you keep talking to him while you are lathering him up and rinsing him off (handheld removable shower head FTW) he's fine, and he'll stand nicely while you dry him off. But the second you tell him "OK" and he can get out of the tub he's off like a rocket through the house, tearing all over the place, and rolling around like crazy.
