The Hickory Crawdads. They'll be playing the Greensboro Grasshoppers. We've got seats in the second row just to the left of home plate, and they were only $8. It's also Thirsty Thursday, which means soda and tall cans of beer are only $1. The scuttlebutt is there's going to be a band after the game, too, as well as the Opening Night fireworks.

Now if it would just stop raining :(

I thought I was going to get bitched out by my professor today. Looks like he's still sick. I'm going to keep dodging bullets while running PCRs. Whew!

Or a Greyhound. Despite their size, they curl up small, like small spaces, and require minimal exercise. ;)

Watch out. Once you let one in, you suddenly have 48 TFP members on your list, and you're all, "what the fuck. Do I KNOW these people?"

I'm kidding. But I do think it's funny that nearly ALL of my mutual friends with Lordeden are TFPers.

My husband and I have the most mutual friends; despite being a non-TFPer, he's met enough of them in meatspace to have several on his Facebook. It always surprises me to see one of them pop up in his feed.

So it might reach somewhere near the warm Canadian summer temps of 40-45 F?

  15. My desk is a hot mess.....I suppose it would be more of a production if I ever got to do that thing where you clear the desk with a swoop of your arm and then get taken by a rugged gentleman with lots and lots of muscles.

I miss working at a library where I shelved harlequin romance novels.

I've always wanted to do that. But I think I'd worry about breaking things.

Try 90–95 F plus debilitating humidity.

We easily go from 15 F* to 95 F over the course of a year (not including the brutal effects of wind chill and humidity, which are quite marked). That's a spread of 80 F. What sort of spread are you used to?

*That is, only if you exclude parts of the Prairies, the Maritimes, and the Great White North, in which case the number is closer to -5 F or worse.

I should mention that I'm very good at knocking things to the floor before cynthetiq tries to steal my opportunity.

I hate to break it to you, but she said 'rugged, muscles, and gentleman'.
