Most definitely nap time, four hours of sleep since yesterday afternoon does not quite cut it no matter how times I tried telling my body it was enough.

 

The best part about beach houses in the NW and NE is that there is typically no beach. I guess "craggy rock house" isn't the same.

Quality time with the family for Easter this weekend = I'm on a comfy chair under a blanket in their frigid living room with my face buried in my phone.

Just got back from a major food run. We're hoping it will last us a month. I need to study this afternoon, but first I'm gonna lay out on my bed and watch some Project Runway.

I'm sorry I missed noodle in chat. I was in there for a short while, but I was too tired to hang in there for long. I think I was asleep within five minutes of signing off.

 

After yesterday's immensely nourishing fellowship, I somehow seem to be sticking to my tripartite plan of writing a grant, preparing a presentation and practicing. Walking Benny the schloompfkin will help take care of the "getting out in the sun" part.

 

Whoa, there's been fucking in chat before!? I'm glad I missed the weenies, though. Colton's is enough for me.

 

Let's just say it was hard to find, and it didn't involve human anatomy... Thankfully.

I like that my parents are liberal with sharing alcoholic beverages at their social functions... even if their taste in the music they play at said functions has taken a serious turn for the worse in the last few years.

speaking of italian style things. has anyone ever heard the term "pasta rockets" in reference to italian auto engineering? i just heard it today and thought it was kind of clever.

 

I love prepping food. There's something therapeutic about it for me.

Dinner is ready to go on the grill: bison burgers (with blue cheese crumbles in them), sweet potato slices seasoned with cumin, asparagus smothered in garlic.. and for dessert, strawberries with black pepper and coconut covered with whipped coconut cream. YUMMY! I also made sriracha mayo for the burgers. I can't wait!

 

So caught up in other things I forgot to dumpster anything edible = will have to wait til tomorrow for breakfast/lunch/dinner

 

Going to church in the morning, hope the roof dont collapse.

Today was one of the best days I've had in years.

 

I saw a picture of the cast of Game of Thrones on the CNN website this morning and one of those guys in the picture has a serious height advantage over the rest of them.

 

Tonight I ate steak. 12oz steak for $12. I haven't had steak in a year or more, and especially couldn't during chemo. Hopefully being a week out of chemo is enough to let me continue to enjoy that hunk of sirloin in my belly. YUM.

 

Just watched the first episode of the new season of Doctor Who and my son is in it.

When he was in Wales last year he had the opportunity to work as an extra. He wasn't sure if his bit would make it, but it did. It's a very (very, very) small part.
