This reminded me of Plan9, for several reasons:

 

I have cat allergies, and a fondness for orange tabbies... The wife seems to want to get a cat. Maybe it will be companionship for me while she's out saving the world and going to PA school. I'm worried about my daughter's hamster though.

 

Sooo, get pulled aside this morning by my clinical instructor to be told that my last patient, the one with the wound, was under contact precautions for clostridium difficile. C. diff is highly contagious, antibiotic resistant and produces a very distinctive, pungent explosive diarrhea. And no one told us. When the prof and I did my head-to-toe assessment on this guy, we inspected his genitals, stuck our (gloved) hands down there, parted flesh and got a good look at everything. Welcome to the world of institutionalized healthcare. And yay for not having explosive diarrhea.

Get a Bengal. They're part cat, part dog, part mountain goat, and part monkey.
Low shedding, lower allergy... their saliva and dander are one of the few breeds that don't wreck me.

I've seen them on Animal Planet. I have considered them. They seem entertaining at least.

 

Max has now been kicked out of the bedroom at night... we have to move the entertainment center away from the door, tape the scat mat to the floor in front of the knob, tie a towel around the knob, and listen to him call for us by 7:30 am. Because he lurrrrrrrves us.
Seriously, though, most fun cats ever. Supple Cow has 3, but she's a little crazy.

Not only did I compare you to dinosaurs, but I compared you in a favorably. I would have assumed that was a good thing, but since just about everything I used to assume about TFP is being proven wrong, then I'm officially out of the assumption bidness.
