So, I'm going to contact the people with my dissertation measure and beg for permission to Survey Monkey it, drink my green juice, eat my egg-rice-furikake-Braggs breakfast, sweep and mop the floors, make another juice and a cranberry-goat cheese-romaine-raspberry walnut vinagrette salad for lunch, do some more laundry, and write up a treatment summary for a family that wants to fire their shitty private school... the reason the kid was in therapy. Go, me.

I spend a disproportionate amount of time writing songs about inanimate objects in the lab. I should really write an album. I'm picturing the infomercial now.

Because I'm not doing it despite the fact that I've got more zingers than Rodney Dangerfield right now.

No exams today, just clinical day with my new resident.
In short: pneumonia, COPD, hypertension, still grieving over his wife who died 15 years ago (from smoking related cancer - they both smoked) and early stage Alzheimer's. Very different from my last guy. And again, I don't know what it is, but I sit down in front of these people and they start talking and they never stop. His lunch came and I tried to excuse myself and he was all like, 'no, I want you to stay, I'm lonely.' So I stayed - for the next two hours. He let me do his vitals and listen to his heart and lungs and bowels without missing a beat. Talked the whole time. Forgot what the bathroom was...his roommate walked into it and he said, 'what room is that?' 'That's the bathroom, where we were brushing your hair just a bit ago.' He was embarrassed.

That's about it.

 

My TMBG Pandora station makes me so happy! I don't feel like stabbing ANYONE in the throat today....
