    What is it doing? What kind of car?? Im guessing by replacement of air filter and looking at cleaning maf and tb aounds like it either runs rough, or check engine light is on or it has no power. If light is on sounds like it has p0171 and/or p0174 codes.......







    On a side note my garage smells like brake cleaner from building transmissions this evening.

    We couldn't get it coded at Napa, plus it's already coding on some minor issue--I can't remember what, it's in my paperwork somewhere. It's stuttering at highway speeds erratically; it will do it one day but not the next. Luckily for Volvo owners, there are some really great forums out there for people interested in DIY car repair. And if the DIY fails, my uncle the VW mechanic can probably squeeze me in before the end of the week.

    Why couldn't napa do it?? Do yall have auto zone? They check em for free here. Sounds like a bad coil. How long since you had her (i refer to all cars as her) (and i normally name mine) tuned up??

    We do have Autozone, but my husband was too lazy to drive the mile up the road to go there and get it coded after Napa couldn't do it.

    the causeway, which is the main drag through tiny town, is probably flooded now..it's low and in a direct line from the open ocean so that when the tide backs up it goes there.
    the wind is hissing like its being forced through a hose.
    and it's been a peculiar day.
    not bad...just peculiar.
    so there's a particular symmetry linking inner and outer.

    so yeah, just another one.

    Holy shit, tomorrow is the first day of spring but here in Vermont it looks like the middle of winter. Reminds me of the movie White Christmas, which everyone should see once. Seriously. White Christmas was filmed in fictitious Pine Tree Vermont. But it looks just like where I am.
