Sherlock Holmes counts as "history" doesn't it? I have the complete stories written by Doyle in paperback and love reading about that era. The hansome cabs, the gas lights, it is all quite interesting and makes for a fantastic environment to set those tales.

 

ZOMG you guys, I am unpatriotic and I HATE AMERICA! Apparently. Because I made a joke about an American holiday that celebrates an Italian man who was exploring for Spain. huh.

One of the more recent slogans for the country is "Proudly supporting the Chinese and Indian economies by buying as much of their goods as possible and shipping jobs overseas to save money."

Tomorrow is the first day of the new job. I've feeling a bit nervous because my contact for this job (which basically I'm an overpaid gofer) is talking about major cabling projects. I don't know a lot about cabling. Let's hope I'm not completely out of my element here.

I borrowed the Fast Five DVD from my in-laws and saw the trailer for Scorpion King 3. WTF????? I must have missed Scorpion King 2, and the very mention of a second sequel sounds almost as bad as a mythical remake of Citizen Kane by Michael Bay.

 

Just found Side 1 of the Peter Cetera vinyl with "Power of Love" in my backlogged "working/in progress" audio folder in WAV format. Might be some kind sign when I had forgotten I even had that album or where it came from. Great song and it was nice to find and play like that.

I have been sleeping so hard lately that every morning is like waking up out of a coma.

 

well, I got up at 5 today just as it has been the last several weeks and got to work at 7 only to find that i am not on the schedule until 1.
oy vey.
at least the dog is already walked.

 

This is so backward, copying a file to a server at work and the transfer rate is half of what I get at home with my antique server

 

WoooooHoooo.......short work week

 

I am very grateful to have no meetings today.
