    Wow, three consecutive nights of great sleep. I am at a loss to explain this. Hasn't happened in years. I feel so good this morning that I don't even care it is Monday. Bring it on. I'm ready to dive into it. Except for the fact that I have to leave in 15 minutes for an appointment with the surgeon as a follow up to last year's surgery.

    Whenever we get near the end of our walks, my dog's pace slows down to a crawl and all of a sudden it becomes imperative to smell every leaf, every blade of grass and every square centimeter of the parking lot. My dog is a dawdler.

    If Stanley sees we are heading for home and decides his walk is too short he puts the leash in his mouth and starts pulling the other way, jumping around like a bucking bull, and going crazy. He'll knock it off once you tell him to. But it is amazing that, no matter where in the neighborhood we are, he senses when we are turning for home.
