This is the start of tough season for many, I'm hanging in there better than usual *knock on wood, but I know many here are going through some bumpy times. Wanted to say how much I appreciate you all, and if you need a friend just say so. *warm hugs and lots of love* <3

 

This holiday has been busy and I can't slow down, even though I have a sinus infection. Called in sick Wednesday went shopping and errands, then food preped for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving day I deboned a duck and deep fried with asian batter. Layed out the spead for me amd my 3 boys. My oldest Son brought his VR system and we ate and gamed all day while I watched my football picks go down the drain. Friday worked outside and today changed a water pump and worked on the barn.
I am sore and spent. Working tomorrow again on the barn. It really feels good to be productive again.
I owe it to pulling my head outa the bottle one more time. Happy Holidays to all my TFPers.

 

We went to my brother's and it was in many ways a really good holiday. Mentally prepping for next year's move to either southern California or Arizona means knowing that this is likely the last holiday I'll spend in southern Oregon was weird. Lots of family, very little drama yay. A silly thing but I could not concentrate on football though as a t.v. was always on- we're pretty used to quiet in this house unless someone is watching or listening to something- so it was just more noise to me.

 

Happy is not the goal. Anyone can be happy, for at least a short period of time.

Happy is the temperature in the room. It can go up, it can do down. I'm happy when my favorite sports team wins. But eventually, they lose, and I am unhappy.

What we want is joy. Joy is the thermostat that controls that temperature in the room.
