    When you are introduced to somebody. don't make an ice-breaker joke about their name. For example: "Harry? Y'er a wizard 'arry! Amiright?"

    It's lame, they've heard it a hundred times before, and you will immediately lose some respect in their eyes.

    When someone is doing you an extremely generous favor and they are treating you very well in the process, do not under any circumstance insult them.

    When you have a latex sensitivity, steer clear of traditional balloons. And if you do decide to get a crap-ton of balloons for your daughter's first birthday, don't handle them or blow them up yourself. Especially don't blow them up using your lips. I feel really stupid right now.

    It's probably a good idea to keep them trimmed so they don't get long and/or sharp enough to actually pose any danger of stabbing yourself.

    Easy to have a brighter outlook when you clear away the cobwebs and tidy just a bit. Spring cleaning is worthwhile in the office and lab as well as the home.
