Yeah, planning ahead is a must. One of the things I liked about getting our vacation laid out and decided a couple of months ahead of time was that I could pay in advance for a lot of the hotels we stayed at. That helped a lot in terms of budgeting.

Why don't you go someplace in Michigan or Chicago?

Laaaaame... come visit me in Columbus! Or go to Cleveland and see some things.. it really is a pretty city, and Cuyahoga Valley National Forest is right there to visit, too. Otherwise, Sleeping Bear!

If you do Phoenix let me know, we'll get together for a beer.

To echo Craven and Borla, the weather is great, there's a shitload to do, and the terrain is beautiful. Great hiking. You can get your harmonic convergence on....

But I didn't answer the poll because I don't know what you like. If you like art, for example, Santa Fe would be a great choice.

    Yeaaah, wow.

This thread was more anticlimactic than the time I posted that zoom shot of my crotch in Tilted Exhibition.

Hey, don't talk about Tophat665 like that.

  11. Nashville shouldn't be THAT far from you if you do a road trip. I lived in the middle of Ohio and it only took me 5 hours tops to drive to Nashville.....maybe an extra 3 for you. Is that too much of a drive for you?

Straight shot down I-75 almost. It's a fun town. I used to go there every year for a rugby tournament

ill have to be bias here and tell you to blow your whole budget on the airfare to Sydney.

you'll lose at least two days in travelling here and back, but it beats holidaying in the same country.

I dunno, even if i did holiday in Australia, it just wouldnt feel like a holiday unless i got a visa stamp in my passport. What im trying to say is, get out of the USA and explore the world!
