SO tells me 4chan is currently full of Paul Walker-inpired jokes.

Between the power of his legs, ECG killing heart and impressive cardigans, B_G doesn't need a car.

    What 9er said.

And: If you knew my situation, you might ask why I bothered getting a driver's license at all.

The real reason: In case I'd need it one day.

In other words, it's like having a fire extinguisher, or a bug-out bag.

    Well, the question was two-fold:

    1. Why did you get a driver's license when you don't even have a car?

    2. Why the hell did you get a license so late?!

    :D

I trained with the same driving sensei that @Baraka_Guru did.

This man told me racist jokes under the guise of prefacing them with: "Hey I heard these terrible racist jokes. They're awful... they go like this [proceeds to tell all the racist jokes]"

Another time, during highway training, I hadn't heard him talk for several minutes and realized he was sleeping. I woke him up and he said I was "doing a great job" because he felt so safe he fell asleep.

    Hilarious.

Me too. Most of the time when conversations turn to the latest things happening to or with some celebrity, I've never heard of him/her. I think it has something to do with my TV watching, which rarely exceeds about an hour a week.
I dunno. I have heard of Johnny Walker, but I've spent more time at the table with Glen Livet.:D

I've heard of him, but can't say I have seen anything he was in.

That said, I did attend a very cool launch party for Fast and the Furious at a Go Kart track in the outskirts of Cannes. I was out on the track and racing before I realized I'd probably had way too much to drink to be driving. Of course, that was probably the case with the vast majority of people on the track.

Really. Southern Ontarians have an accent? I've never heard it.

If I say why this thread is amazing will it spoil it?

    Neither did I.
I knew that once I started driving, a car would become a necessity. And it did. But in the meantime, I had so little money that I didn't want to spend it on gas or car payments.

Now that you mention it... I ws having dinner with some work mates at a restaurant in Pittsburgh, and a 30 something girl came over to our table. She had overheard us, and asked if we were from Toronto. Said she was from Missississauga, but had married and moved there. She could pick us out by our accents...

I was in a line up at a bank in Barcelona and overheard a couple chatting. Sure enough they were from Toronto. Guessed based on the accent.

Same with a dude I met through work. Indian Sikh by all outward appearances but his accent gave him up. Also? He is a member of Leaf Nation.
