    On October 11th in 1968, Apollo 7, the first manned Apollo mission, was launched with astronauts Wally Schirra, Donn Fulton Eisele and R. Walter Cunningham aboard.

    I remember these launches like it was yesterday... the astronauts were all freaking rock stars and every kid on my block was going be one. Except Billy. Billy wanted to be a hair stylist.
