fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

Fear not, you're playing the Bills this weekend.
We're promoting guys from the practice squad to starting QB. Any QB issues you have pale by comparison.

I'm not a Giants' fan, but I feel bad for Eli. I don't think it is all his fault, but he is definitely not part of the solution right now.

Looks like we see why Schaub was still the starter in Houston.

Arrgh...Raiders actually did well with KC for 3 quarters (7 to 14)...then collapsed in the last 5 minutes in the 4th.

The Texans have many problems, the implosion appears to be complete (when the coaches can't get talented players to play well...). A 2-6 record is a distinct possibility.

Could we soon see Kubiak's departure?

    Lions were ridiculous yesterday.

If we can keep this up I will be pleased.

I would be a little surprised if he is fired mid season. I would NOT be surprised if he doesn't make it until next season.

Agreed. Rooting for an injury, or cheering one, is bottom of the barrel behavior IMO too.

I've never liked his pouting when his team loses, but he's a fierce competitior so his reaction is natural. That doesn't stop me from referring to him as Poutin' Manning. And he will endorse $$$$$ just about anything, I've often thought that it would be great to do a parody commercial featuring a Peyton look-and-sound alike for Playtex, the Offficial Tampon of the NFL (yes, I have a warped sense of humor ;)) .

I wonder if Jmmy Johnson would be willing to be HC of the Texans? He did great things in Dallas.......but.......that was a long time ago. Quite a few successful coaches have come out of retirement only to fail with struggling teams. If I was Mcnair I'd be willing to take the chance.

Kubiak fired a bunch of defensive coaches after the 2010 season (rumors were he had to be forced to do so). IF he manages to keep his job Kubiak needs to take a hard look at his (intentional play on words) offensive coaches. Maybe there's a hot QB coach that would be willing to be OC for the Texans.

They aren't fans, they're assholes who think that purchasing a ticket gives them the right to behave like.........assholes.

My $.02, Johnson will never coach in the NFL again. He's too far removed, too old, and too happy with the reduced workload of his current gig. Probably no desire to go back to the 18-hour/day grind of being an NFL head coach.

If I were going to pick a retired guy to try to lure back with buckets of money, it would be Gruden. Pair him up with a strong defensive coordinator and I think he could step back into the game in a heartbeat.

Borla, good points. If Johnson couldn't renew the fire, chances are his team wouldn't. Also, would Johnson be willing to risk dimishing his leagacy? Probably not.

If the Texans are going to land a Big Name Coach, they need to do it before the top players start jumping ship to teams with real SB potential.
