uh, that's not what he meant

  3. Eddie Getting Tilted

he's referring to your backwater conservative ideology as a religion.

  5. Eddie Getting Tilted

Wow, for someone you've so lazily written off as a troll, people sure do like to discuss politics with me. Maybe rather than pronouncing me a troll you could just let people decide for themselves whether or not they want to engage me in discussions. How would that be? Let adults be adults. What do you think, big guy?

you engage in discussion in a manner that makes people talk at you. not with you. i made my decision back when you made that crack about black people on the capital punishment thread. no one talks like that if they're not deliberating trying to provoke people, ergo troll.

Eddie certainly lacks political comprehension of situations not only of the things going on in the US/Europe, but also in Africa/Middle East.

I wouldn't be surprised, if he had similar nonsense to spout when it comes to Australasia.

My conservative-based opinions are just really unpopular on this board. I can deal with that if others can. A little diversity never hurt anything, did it?

Oh man. I love Australia. I try to go there once a year. My favorite gf is from Brisbane. Sweetest, nicest girl I've ever met. And I like being able to chat with the average Aussie about protecting borders and freedom and patriotism without being viewed as some right wing looney.

Great that you love Australia. Lived there for 6 years, my fiancée is Australian and I go there 1-2 times a year.

I couldn't care less than to label you as anything. I look at the quality of the statements and arguments you make, and they're extremely poor.

For all intents and purposes of a serious discussion, the way you constantly state half-truths (if not outright falsehoods) and frequently give partial answers or attempt to change the issues being discussed; you are completely useless and a waste of time, primarily because you won't accept your arguments are as weak as they often are.

Before you go off and give yourself one of those self-righteous pats on the back for your "conservative" views, I've argued against TFP's majority consensus on things such as the assassination of Awlaki (me being all for it).

"...the way you constantly state half-truths (if not outright falsehoods) and frequently give partial answers or attempt to change the issues being discussed..."

Heck Remixer, that type of thinking is basically all the ultra-conservative Republicans, aka the Tea Party, in America have to offer. The only Republican running for the presidential nomination that makes any sense is Jon Huntsman.

The above statement is false. Check the polls, it's not even close.

Hey bob! Nice to see you around here again.

I fully sympathize with you guys over in the US. Having to argue with people like that must drive you crazy at some point. Or lose hope. Or both.

I'll take your word on that one.

  17. Eddie Getting Tilted

Reality is what I see with my own two eyes...not what some news source tells me.

I wonder how you figure out whether Microwaves are the real deal. After all, when you turn one on it only switches on a light inside, a glass plate turns and it makes a humming sound.

Yet, the food you take out of it is hot.

    Magic!

  19. Eddie Getting Tilted

I believe in microwaves because Fox news told me about them.

awesome. now we even get the arbitrary appeal to immediate experience line the bottom end of the whole litany of conservative memes that has been trotted out in all its flaccid passé splendor, from the arguments from red-baiting to the serf's pastoral odes to his feudal betters, the Captains of Industry, to the systematic repetition of talking points with the footnote appended that denies any contact with the media system that produces those memes, and so confronts us with just another astonishing coincidence of an ordinary american who happens to think exactly the way in which the right media apparatus says ordinary americans happen to think except generates it spontaneously much in the way pierre menard is rumored to have rewritten don quixote 300 years after the fact word for word without having ever read don quixote in the first place, one of those astonishing coincidences that is statistically plausible but in no particular place, all topped off with a steaming dollop of appeal to a mystic Empirical World which of course is not subject to argument because it's Given In Advance by...well, the natural order making place that delivers twice a week from those trucks with the funny soundtrack that gets piped through horns and that kids confuse with mister softee...

what new adventures in the land of wholesale repetition of conservative memes await us?

i can hardly fucking wait to see the next episode.

or we could return to the occupation, as it seems that the one main consistency about conservo-trolls is that they derail threads into discussions that are all about them.
