I get the trade, I really do. I will still miss the kid, and wish him all the success in the world unless Buffalo is playing the Canucks.

 

yeah man, sorry to see that kid go. the dude is all hustle, he is gonna lite up the left coast!

 

Hodgson is going to be a 30+ goal scorer within 5 years or I'll eat something I don't usually eat that might upset my stomach.

Kassian? I hope he knocks out some teeth and pots some goals.

OK, hockey fans... Have any of you seen "Goon"? Amazing hockey movie. Highly recommended.

 

haven't seen it yet. Looks funny. I think some of the actors from Scott Pilgrim are in it.

Motherfucking Duncan Keith. I hope somebody McSorleys that fuck. Gets a nice little vacation before the playoffs, and Daniel Sedin is out with a concussion. I'd like to make a lamp shade out of his fucking skin.

 

Sabres finally getting it together, just in time to make the playoffs it looks like.
Still don't expect much from them. I don't see chemistry. I don't see toughness.
If they get somewhere it will be Miller carrying them, with the new guys who are playing hard like Foligno.

Coming down to the wire, the Canucks shit the bed on their chance to get 1st overall... Couldn't beat the Flames (sad, sad, sad). Now NY has to lose to the caps and we need at least OT in our final game. Le sigh.

Anyone else excited for the playoffs? Who are your picks? Obviously I'm rooting for the Canucks out of the west, and it's hard not to cheer for teams like Florida and Ottawa in the East (Ottawa SUCKED last year! Quite the turnaround).

 

I want my Wings to go far but I think the youth of the other central division teams will prevail. I honestly (sorry Ace), I don't think the Canucks have the heart to win.... Rangers or Penguins in the east with St.Louis or Nashville in the west... depending on who gets their goaltending together the quickest.

 

Yeah I hear you. Nashville looks dangerous this year, and Detroit quite frankly is playing worse than the Canucks, I feel like it will be a non-traditional team making it to the cup from the west, but I may be wrong. Anything can happen, I mean remember when Montreal went on a tear a few years ago and knocked out Washington and Pittsburgh? Madness.

 

Sorry but I will never root for any hockey team based south of the Mason Dixon line.
Just not natural.

 

I would agree with that a fourth seed or below might be the better contender this year.... If Luongo could step up and become the goaltender his paycheque say he is, then Vancouver might not be bad.... but the Rangers, St.Louis are getting better goaltending right now.

 

I had a dream, and my dream went like this:

Luongo sucks in the first round, giving up the first two games at home. Schneider comes in and goes lights out, so they ride him until he stops playing bad, but he never does and we ride Schneider to the cup. Then Luongo waives his no trade clause in the off season and we re-sign Schneider and trade Luongo to Toronto.

It was a good dream.

And I'm not even a Luongo hater, I think he's a great goalie. He's just so streaky...

 

His confidence is really weak, he was good where he was a no name in Florida but I suppose pressure gets to people.
