Do the networks tell their announcers, at least some them, not point out too many missed penalties?

I forget which game it was, but the announcers kept mentioning a key block that allowed a long run resulting in an important late game first down. The block was clearly below the waist.

In the game last night the Raiders defender clearly pushed the Packers receiver away before making the pick, which basically ended the game. Was it OK because the defender was watching the ball? The announcers only commented on how important the pick was.

The Braves managed to tie things up 1-1. I bet their fans are happy. You have an amazing regular season, kicking butt at home and on the road, then go cold in the POs?

 

Not NFL...

The Braves were eliminated again, second year in a row. WTF?

I guess they're in good company. The top five teams with the best records during the regular season are now out of the POs. Per FOX Sports, "The teams with the top five records in MLB have been eliminated."

Josh Allen just said an ugly win counts as much as a pretty win. The missed PI call on the game ending play will be discussed very loudly by Giant's fans.

I’m a Bills fan so I’ve watched a lot of bad football in my lifetime.
The first half last night was right up there with the worst I’ve ever seen.
For both teams.
I went to bed at halftime.

 

It wasn't exactly riveting, until the 4th quarter, esp the end of the game. Tyrod screwed up a potential scoring opportunity to end the first half, did it again to almost end the game. A PI call sort of softened his running mistake, then a missed PI call (the explanation by one of the analyst sounded like pure Ref Apologist & Bills Fan BS to me) ended the game on a sour note.

But...the way the Bills played the game was the Giants to win, & they blew it.

 

Damn Astros blew it big time time.

The cowgirls won. But why did I expect better from the We'll Find A Way To Lose Chargers?

OK, Astros, let's get this to 2-2 for the homefield advantage...although that might be a disadvantage, just like the WS loss.

The Astros tied it 2-2. They're either going to win it or lose it here in Houston.

The Astros went up 3-2 after a 9th inning 3 run homer by Altuve.

 

The Bills are a dumpster fire.
They barely hung on to beat the Giants and were throughly outplayed by the Patriots.
That's 2 of the worst teams in the NFL.
I have no idea what is going on with them. I would love to be a fly on the wall inside the locker room. There's something deeply wrong there.

 

The Bills' defense made Jones look like a starting QB. At the end of the season the win probably won't mean much for the Patriots, but the loss could be huge for the Bills.

I'll help by rooting for the Eagles over the Dolphins. But the truth is the I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the Eagles lose.

UH Cougars mounted a great comeback against the Longhorns. Then made some boneheaded mistakes in 4th quarter, & a clearly bad spot from the refs didn't help.

The Astros love to lose big. The game was over after the 4th inning.

I read some comments that the Astros will need a few years to rebuild their pitching staff. Dusty Baker is talking retirement, maybe he sees the writing on the wall.

 

The Bills won on Thu, good to see them avoid the losing bug.

The UH Cougars were shutout, 41-0. Their last SO happened in 2000. Is Dana Holgorsen babysitting until the UH can lure a proven coach? I say he might last through next season.

HITF is Matthew Stafford rated 7th based on his performance after six games in 2023? His numbers are crap.

 

Great defense, Texans...until it really mattered.

Relying on FGs won't cut it in the NFL, unless your opponent only scores 13 points.

 

I still have no confidence in the Bills, especially the D.
Rough loss for the Texans. But they are so much better this year and the future looks bright.

 

The Texans are in good company. The Chiefs & 49ers have much higher expectations, & both lost games they absolutely should've won.

I'm happy to see the Eagles are keeping it going, because unfortunately the cowgirls are hot right now.
