The quotes from Eli after the game that I read make it sound like he's unwilling /unable to take the backup role. It sounds like he will retire before next season.

 

A member of the Patriots film crew set up a still camera that was pointed at the Bengals sidelines and filmed for around eight minutes. Before it was noticed and the filming halted.

That doesn't sound accidental to me. But I admit to being biased against the Patriots. Still.......

 

Which team's offense is going to settle down and start making some plays, the Texlers or the Titans?

Edit: WTF? The Titans can't get away from the wussy blue, even though Bud Adams has been dead for how many years? Move on already.



I think the Bengals organization sucks, but their long suffering fans deserve something positive (other than the first draft pick in 2020), and a loss by the Patriots would be.....delicious.

 

The Texlers gave up that TD way too easily.

So can they run out the last 1:59?

I barely slept last night I was so worked up after that game.

 

Some QBs should've sat out their respective games yesterday.

What was I thinking, even if I just barely believed the Bengals might pull off the massive upset?

The yo-yo Rams picked a bad time to lose (actually in their position any loss is major). Even worse they made the yo-yo cowgirls look like a good team. At least the Eagles won; now they just need to win the NFC East and hopefully leave girls sitting at home.

What the hell were the 49ers thinking? The NFC is about as tight as it can be, so they lose to the Falcons? Kyle Shanahan certainly knows when to choke.

Winning ugly counts. The Bills won ugly....and huge.

the titans have been hit or miss all year.

the rams cant seem to make up their mind what kind of offense they want to run

the falcons are one of those teams that no one wants to play cause you dont know what team is going to show up..

 

I think the Titans were 5-1 under since Tannehill took over as QB (now 5-2). Without looking I have no idea about the quality of those six teams. I must say their punter threw a perfect pass, the defender had to make good play to prevent the reception.

Whoa that's big news.
Had not heard that.
Do not want to see anyone injured.
But it has big implications for the Bills this weekend as well as for the Pats post-season.
Brady will be throwing to himself soon.

 

That'll lead to an increase in his incompletions.

 

I am anti-Patriots, I'm sick of them, fifteen years is long enough. It's time for Brady to age, it's time for Belichick to start getting outcoached.

With that said, it certainly looks like, and sounds like, the videographer(s) knew exactly what he (they) were doing. While I don't believe Belichick gave any direct orders for the filming, I do firmly believe someone in the Patriots organization did order the filming. And the film would have eventually been seen & used by Belichick.

The NFL needs to hammer the Patriots organization. Belichick doesn't need to be named, he's already part of the organization.

But there's a huge question mark. Even though Goodell hammered the Patriots and Brady over Deflategate (strong arguments have been made that Goodell overreacted to Brady's stubbornness), he has been very inconsistent in dealing with controversies. Some people get hammered, while some people, like Eli Manning, get a complete pass.

What will Goodell do? My guess is strongly worded harsh criticism, and what amounts to a slap on the wrist. An action that sounds good and looks good, but amounts to nothing. A long "probation" period would sound good and mean little.

 

Hey Texlers, why do you keep throwing away gifts from the Bucs?

OK, I'm being harsh. I guess 17-3 isn't bad considering the blown no fumble call.

 

17-17. The Texlers gave up two TDs just before the first half ended.

I'm not surprised.

 

Congrats to the Texlers for winning the AFC South.

And heaps of criticism for playing like shit, and barely winning a game that shouldn't have been close. Especially with the breaks the Texlers got in the first quarter.



Now the Bills need to defeat the Patriots. And while they're at it knock Brady out of the game, the season, and the playoffs.

No pressure......LOL!

Bills....good effort but so frustrating.
Some sloppy tackling really cost them, and they've been so sound at tackling all year til now.
Plus the blatant face mask penalty the Pats got a way with on the final drive.
I'm telling ya, Pats better look out next year.

 

Damned Pats seem to always find a way to win. The team stats make it look as though it was a blowout win.
