    They used to get the ball on the 2yrd line for the PAT, which made the extra point about a 19-20yrd kick. If they wanted to go for the 2pt conversion, they also would get it at the 2yrd line.

    This year, if they want to kick it, they have to snap the ball from the 15yrd line, which makes it about a 32-33yrd kick. If they want to go for 2pts, they get to snap it from the 1yrd line.

    If the defense returns a fumble or interception on a 2pt conversion attempt, they get 2pts instead.

    The Texans are now 0-2. So much for the 'soft' early schedule. Mallet made some bad throws, and several receivers dropped what should've been easy catches. And the defense, which on paper should be very good, hasn't been very good. In the last two minutes the Panthers' defense tried to give up a tie in regulation with stupid penalties, but the Texans offense couldn't capitalize.

    Exceeding last years 9-7 record might be a dream at this point.

    I did my usual Monday quick scan of the scores & standings.

    Well my, my, my. The mighty Seahawks are 0-2.

    The Saints are 0-2, which isn't excatly shocking, but surprising. Is Brees an "elite" QB stuck with a lousy team, or is he overrated? BTW that's an actual question, I ask because I don't know.

    Dream on! The POs are a possibility given the weakness of their division (can't rely on the Eagles and/or Giants to get things turned around this season), but not the SB. BUT with that said, if the 'girls are completely healthy going in the POs, it's not that farfetched, unfortunately.

    Edit--Oops, misread a post.

    Doesn't Whitten also have some injuries? Individually they aren't bad (on paper), collectively they could affect his playing.
