I watched the Bengals game and then the Reds game. That was actually pretty awesome. It would have been more awesome if the Reds had won, too, but still.

  3. Got BabySquirrel some new threads for the new season since she outgrew her old stuff. I will post pics of her modeling them.

I did not get t watch the preseason game, but followed online.

Some people consider Kaep a spare part.

I wonder if the Seahawks have been practicing their goal line passing game.

That sounds more like a Saints cheer.

  9. YES!

BabySquirrel says "Who Dey" now and it's adorable. She also likes to growl during this song:

The Bengals have music and it's awesome.

This year I'm picking the Cowboys as my team to watch. No reason, really...this is going to be SB 50 and played in The Great State of Texas.

I saw the Fantasy Football information, but are we doing the Picks of the Week thing? That is a bit more manageable for me.

Who Dey sounds very similar to Who Dat. Can't you Bengals fans come up with something original? :D

Pssh, tell the Saints that. The Bengals did it first.

(okay, there's actually some debate on that. But most people who aren't Saints fans (;)) seem to agree that Bengals fans were chanting in 1980-81, and Saints fans were chanting in 1983.)

    Nerd. ;) (also, I'm Ravenclaw.)

    ***

Dang, NFL jerseys are expensive. I really want a Bernard jersey (plays for the Bengals, went to college in North Carolina, so I feel a bit of affection there), but official ones are 100 bucks. Looks like I'll be picking up a knock off the next time I'm home.

Five days until the next preseason game! Bring it, Tampa Bay!

  16. Bengals are total Gryffindors. Ravenclaws are...Ravens. Gross. Steelers are Slytherins. The Browns are the Hufflepuffs.

    /Harry Potter nerdiness

I came very close to spending $200+ for an Icky Woods Jersey because it would have been so cool to have.

Because top-level QBs never hit the open market anymore. And if the Giants hit him with the franchise tag, he'd still be at $23M+ anyway, and more than that the second year.

The salary of the top 10-12 QBs is not indicative of where they rank in skill. It's where they rank chronologically when it comes to most recent contract.

Hit some thrift stores such as Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. I found two Texans t-shirts (0ne never worn), a cool jersey (number 02 for their first season), a very nice cold weather long-sleeved shirt (never worn), a very nice cap (never worn), and a UH sweatshirt & a cap. They're all official licensed products, and I paid under $30.00.

If you would LIKE someone else to do it, I am willing.

If I do so, I'll just run it through Yahoo's interface, that way everyone can enter their own picks and the book keeping portion is all done for us. I run several Yahoo leagues, so it would be no bother.

In the meantime, I have set up an NFL Survivor League for anyone who would like to join.

For those who don't know, the way this works is that each week you pick ONE game that you are absolutely sure who the winner will be. The catch is, once you use any NFL team once as your "sure thing", you cannot use them again. This league allows you two strikes (most only allow one, I decided we'd be nice to the slow learners like @ZombieSquirrel ;) ). So the second time one of your picks loses, you are knocked out. Last man standing.....err, last PLAYER standing wins.

You should be able to find the league through this link:

    Survival Football | Yahoo Sports

    Enter Group # 8657
    Password: survive

    Everyone is welcome.
