fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

After Rex Ryan said he was proud of how the bills played yesterday.....I would pay the Dolphins to take him off our hands.

  6. Lions find a way to not win again. Seattle tried to give it to them, but...

Beginning to wonder about Calvin "Megatron" Johnson. Not strong to the ball. Not strong with the ball.

The Texans got their asses thoroughly kicked by the Falcons. One missed call wouldn't have made any real difference.

With that said.....late in the fourth quarter there was a non-call on a pass interference that was so fucking blatant one of my deceased grandmothers could've called it. The Falcons defender had his right arm on the receiver's back, and was grabbing the jersey with his left hand, well before the ball (very catchable) arrived. There is no way this was one of the 'not certain, won't call it' situations. I guess at that point in the game the refs were ready to get out of there.

EDIT--OB is sticking with Mallet as starting QB. I think that's the right decision, at least for the next four games. If Mallet can't cut it after eight games, maybe 12, try Hoyer for the remaining games. Why not? The chances are very good the Texans will still desperately need a good QB for 2016.

Anybody here see any flying-under-the-radar QBs?

Maybe a disgruntled QB ready to jump ship?

The Texans have greatly increased their momentum with changing the QB. Hoyer seems to understand the team offense and is able to march his men down field.

Yes...until he makes a major mistake...then what? Last night he was lucky that his stupid decision came late in the game, in the sense that if it had happened earlier he might've played poorly . Definitely unlucky for the team since the pick ended the chance to tie the game late. He had a shaky start in game one, and never seemed to regain his confidence. If OB decides to stick with Hoyer (most likely at this point), he needs to stick with Hoyer. The QB shuffle isn't good for the QBs and doesn't give the team confidence.

The Texans offense showed signs of promise. Maybe it was a case of the Colts D not being very good.

The Texans defense looked mediocre. They barely touched the 40yo Hasselbeck (that has more to do with the Colts OL than his age), couldn't stop the run, and forgot to cover some geezer :D named Andre Johnson.

Unless the Colts implode, they'll once again own the AFC South.

The Cougars won big last night, still undefeated!!

Hoyer it is. I'm not sold on him, but he does have a grasp of the game and leadership that Mallet is lacking.

Now, OB, let the man play. Don't hold Mallet over his head. Hoyer will recover from his mistakes, or he won't. If he falls apart in a game, let him. Then see if he recovers for the next game. Do so for the next four games at least.

I didn't even know that the Texans had released Randy Bullock until the Thu game. My wife....of all people....know that he'd cut on Mon. I was screaming for his firing back in '13 when he went through a horrible slump (I always said one of Kubiak's faults as a HC was his frequently misplaced loyalty).

Last news I read was RB was going to tryout for the Saints. That, in a way, says a lot about the Saints' situation.

I had no idea A. Luck with the Colts was injured and wouldn't play. Looks like they did better without him too. Hooray for the old guys:)

In the first half it looked as though the cowgirls' defense had the Patriots figured out, a bit of a scare. In my mind I figured 35-13; 30-6 isn't far off. I really loved how the 'girls couldn't put up a TD late, even after the Patriots gave them a fresh set of downs at the six?? yard line.

The Eagles won while the 'girls lost. Now the Giants need to win tonight against the 49ers. Still not a good idea to rely on them to keep the 'girls out of the POs.

"The next NFL dynasty" Seahawks lost today. They need to get their shit together really quickly.

  15. Who Dey! 5-0!!!

The Bills won yesterday but they have been playing beyond horrible the last 2 games.
It's going to get ugly quickly against the Bengals if they play like crap again.......

Fourteen points against the Titans........the team that made Ryan Fitzpatrick look like Peyton Manning in his prime.

    But it was enough.

    -----------------------------

The Giants somehow managed not to give the game away. The bad news is the cowgirls still have the division lead in wins.

    ----------------------------

I saw that one team (can't recall which one) is undefeated, but has yet to play a team in their division. WTF?

  19. My brother and I texted during the Bengals/Seahwaks game yesterday. He doesn't admit that he's a Bengals fan and refers to my daughter as a Seahawks fan. She is, but not when they're playing the Bengals. He was surprised that they pulled off that win....

I notice that the two known Seahawks fans here on TFP haven't posted about their team in this thread .
