What's going to happen with Suh?
Was he subtle enough to make it look like an accident?

Harbough is going to Michigan. It's going to be announced tomorrow early afternoon. I'd bet money on it.

i retract my last statement, just saw where harbough is to be introdueced as michigan head coach on tuesday. on a side note there is a clause in nick sabans contract at alabama that states that if any other head coach in fbl makes more money than him, then alabama is to meet or increase his money per year, wonder what michigan had to pay jim to go there??

I don't understand Harbaugh wanting to coach college ball. There must be some NFL teams willing to give him the control he wants.

I think he should get the same thing Raiola got, a one game suspension. Both were repeat offenders, and both clearly did it on purpose.

    Watch the clip:

You can see clearly in the video that he first stumbled back and his foot kind of half stepped on Rodgers. Now, at that point, he has to know that it is Rodgers he is stepping on. He's on a football field. There is nothing there but grass, except where there are bodies. And the only guy behind him is Rodgers, who everyone knows is playing with an injured calf/ankle. So what does Suh do? He steps back again, and when he realizes he is stepping ON Rodgers, he picks up his other foot to put his entire 305+ lb body weight on the cleats that are buried in Rodgers leg.

Given his previous record, I think the only correct action is to take him off the field for a game. That's the only thing that will really hurt him. A $10-20k fine for a guy making $12.5M this year isn't going to have an impact. More importantly, his teammates aren't going to care either. But if you remove one of the best players from the team from a playoff game, that will not only get his attention, but it'll get his teammate's and organization's attention.

I'm not a Packers fan. I actually love watching Suh play (legally) because he is a beast. He is too talented to be as dirty as he is. And if he'd have injured Rodgers and cost him time in the playoffs it would've been epic unsportsmanlike conduct. If the league wants to combat the horrible image it has projected this past year, cleaning up stuff like this is a step in the right direction. Sit Suh down for the first round of the playoffs.

All that being said, I highly doubt the NFL will do it. He'll get fined and told once again that he's a bad boy, and it'll do exactly nothing towards stopping him next time.

Well, if the rumors are true, he's going to get a 60% raise in pay (from $5M to $8M) to go from the NFL to college. So that right there is three million reasons to switch. :D

I also don't think his style works as well in the NFL as it would in college. It is obvious that the last season and a half or so at least some of the 9ers have gotten tired of him, or tuned him out. The two years or so his message gets guys pumped up and motivated. Much more than that and they start getting tired of hearing it and he begins to lose the locker room, or at least parts of it. And his aggressive style was really grating on the GM and ownership.

In college that same thing works perfectly, because after that length of time the players are moving on anyway. And the football coach at a school like Michigan is a 500lb gorilla who gets whatever he wants, even if the AD is technically his boss. So you don't have the front office type conflict as much either. My $.02.

I get being happy as a Lions fan. As I originally posted, I didn't think they'd suspend him in the first place for that.

My main frustration is that the guy is such a talent and has to screw up his reputation and be a distraction all the time by stunts like this.

I want the Lions to beat the cowgirls. Detroit needs a morale boost, and my feelings about the 'girls are well known. I don't think that the Lions will pull out the win, even with Suh.

With that said, Suh deserved the one game suspension (more, IMO, given his history) and the Lions deserved it for not keeping him under control. Yes, a PO game suspension would've hurt, but it would've gotten the attention of Suh and the team. More waffling from the NFL.
