i like the 49ers largely because i am concerned about new orleans and want them to go away. so far so good, but that doesn't mean much with nola. more interested in the patriots game.

I'll go with the Saints just because they're my neighbors.

a few seconds left in the first half and it's not obvious at all at all how this is going to turn out. still optimistic that the saints will go away.

  5. I'm still bitter when it comes to the 9ers

My roommates are big fans though :-(

I gotta admit, the 9ers pulled off an awesome ending. Good for them.

  7. Well! That did get entertaining, didn't it? And perfect timing. Change the channel to catch the first snap of Pats v Tebows.

  8. Just about as entertaining as one couLd hope for. Not having a favorite makes it more fun.

I'm sure he's a wonderfully nice guy, but I am glad I'll be able to hear far less of Tebow for the next few months.

  10. True. Ironically I don't know that I've heard Tebow himself speak.

No, now you'll just hear the "will Tebow be the starter next season after his playoff loss to the Patriots, blah blah blah" stories.

the broncos were drubbed in a stellar fashion. the patriots appear to have acquired a defense. this should make fans of other teams still in the playoffs very nervous. i am pleased for entirely mercenary reasons that new orleans is out as when they are on i could not see any afc team beating them. sf looks tough. yikes. i'm thinking baltimore should beat houston and am hoping the giants beat green bay---but i would kinda look forward to a green bay-sf game.

  13. Sunday morning sports talk radio won't shut up about it. There's gonna be the mandatory post-mortem and speculation. I'll just be changing stations.

Ah, lovely. I haven't seen the Pats defense be that successful in many years.

Clearly, they understood the option play. I hope that they are successful again next week.

For me, it's not him that annoys me as much as the incessant coverage. He seems like a decent, well spoken, relatively humble dude. I'm just tired of so much of the NFL coverage/discussion revolving around one guy who is fairly mediocre at his position.

He deserves the shot at this point. But I don't think his success is sustainable long term in the NFL without a major improvement in his ability to be consistent and accurate in throwing the ball.

  16. Arion Foster... now there is the guy who deserves some hype. He's the Anti-Tebow! Gimme an undrafted free agent who simply goes out and consistently performs way above his pay scale... those last 2 plays notwithstanding.

Wow, terrible call on the GB fumble there at the end of the 1st Quarter. They got it wrong TWICE! Once when the ref on the field overturned the other ref, making NY have to challenge, then the replay ref got it wrong. Anyway, Kuhn just scored to tie the game. Dirtball.
