Will the Bills win another game this year?
Will they at least lose one by less than 20 points? I'm not sure on either count.

What do you guys think about injuries in general? Before the season, there was a lot of concern that the lockout would mean that the players weren't getting the proper conditioning, and that there would be more injuries because of that. It seems like there are more high-profile injuries at the moment than usual, but it might be my skewed perception. I haven't seen any articles on this subject yet; if you have, please link to them for me?

So Denver waived Orton today. And Chicago needs a veterpan quarterback.... One who's used to coming in when someone else gets hurt and just providing simple game management skills. Hmmmmm.......

Good for Tebow. I know a lot of people don't like him, for reasons that don't always have to do with his abilities as an athlete, but you kinda got to hand it to him, as well as the coaching staff who really learned to work around Tebows weaknesses.

I'm glad the Lions pulled out a win there last week, but my insecurity about their ability to win consistently remains. I still think they're a team with problems and their really great start may have painted them as a better team than they are in reality. At least they haven't collapsed like Buffalo has.

On the other end of things, how about those Dolphins. Did they just decide to start playing now that it looks like Buffalo or someone else might get that first draft pick?

I'm excited for the first relevant Thanksgiving game between the Packers and the Lions in recent memory. Still worried about our defence, they're giving up way too many yards. Should be a fun one, too bad the game is on so early (0930 hrs)

The Bills have been destroyed by injuries this year.
That said they have been very injury prone for at least the last 4 years.
I don't think they are very well conditioned as a team and they are often playing against superior athletes. I don't think the altered pre-season is their specific problem but it could be a problem for others in the league.

The Lions needed to air it out this game, and they tried to, but they got caught. GB was and is the better team, and they sure proved it today.

  8. The Lions lack of maturity was on display today. Dumb penalties... especially Suh's... along with inexperience in the defensive secondary, kept the Packers in the game early and let them pull away late. Frustrating to watch.

I think right now GB is the odds on favorite to repeat as Super Bowl champs.
Who else is in the top 3 contenders? Niners? We shall see tonight what they are made of.

  10. Not the Niners. Not quite sure who is at the same level as the Packers.

Well! That was certainly a fun game to watch. I can't believe Suh is defending his actions. You don't kick someone with your cleats, ever ever ever. What's the deal with people kicking the Packers this year? Against the Vikings that dude kicked our guy in the nuts, now this? Also, Clay Matthews with the INT, that was freaking awesome. That Woodson pick was total ball-hawking at its finest. High risk, high reward defence paid off this game. The rest of the season for us should be really fun to watch, lots of divisional games and this upcoming one against New York. At this point, who cares if we have a perfect season, just stay healthy for the playoffs.

If the league doesn't suspend Suh for at least 3 games without pay, I will be very disappointed. He slammed the dude's head into the turf 3 times before stomping, very obviously and very intentionally on or near his arm. There is no way to interpret what he did as accidental, and in several camera angles you can see his face through his helmet while he's doing it. There's no "off balance" going on there. The dude has been fined for more this year than I will make, and his hits show , at the very least, total apathy for the health and well-being of other players, and at the most, an unnerving amount of malice.

I would say he needs to be kept on an extremely short leash. After his suspension, any further thug behavior should be treated very harshly. There can be no tolerance for a player like that in the game. If he keeps playing like this, he's going to hurt someone badly.

Sorry. Only 2 games without pay.

  14. With 2 virtual lock losses left on their schedule (at New Orleans, at Green Bay) the Lions slim playoff hope just got benched.

that may not be true, remember they have come back from alot this year

  16. The Lions likely would need to win 3 of the last 4 games in order to reach the playoffs. 9-7 won't do it for them. The Falcons and Bears both hold tiebreaker advantage over them.
Other than at Dallas, the Lions have been horrible against playoff caliber teams this year. Without Suh, and with half their starting defensive backfield down with injury, Brees and the Saints should be too much for them. Green Bay proved their superiority last Thursday.
The Lions have made some amazing comebacks, and they'll need to be amazing.

Sad to hear about Manning likely retiring. I knew his neck was bad, but I had held out hope he would return. Maybe just a rumour at this point, but if it does happen that would be a shame.

  20. I'm with you there, ace. His dominant talent will be missed.
