Tebow's not a passing quarterback. It's obvious by his footwork and arm motion. Teams get 16 games in a season. Thus far Tebow has been slightly worse than average in one and horrendous in the other. The lack of running game definitely hurts him, but he's making some awful mistake. The second (I think) interception was all on him - he never should have thrown that ball.

There's a group that wanted Tebow to be the next Elway - or better yet, Jesus Elway - but he's not. He's the sort of quarterback that's best suited for a team that's structured around a powerful defense and a run-based offense. Those feature a few short passes and a deep throw one a quarter to keep the safeties honest. Think Baltimore or Tampa back in the day. Tebow is never going to be a quarterback for a high-powered offense because he simply doesn't have the skills necessary nor does he have the luxury of time to learn them. He continually mishandles snaps from the center, and his 5-step drop leaves him with his weight unready to throw.

Not to pick on you, ralphie250, but I just don't understand that sort of statement. ANY professional football player, by definition, is going to be good. They should be able to catch balls/block/run - whatever their job is. If they're not, then they're working for an incompetent organization. The Raiders of the mid 00's might have been incompetent. The Lions of the late 00's probably were. It's not like Tebow was sacked EVERY play - he did make completions and gain yards. He simply was no more or less competent on the field than any other Bronos player. There are some that expected him to make every completion and finish with a 210 passer rating (even though it doesn't go that high). Those are the folks that were seemingly proven wrong yesterday.

Holy crap a Cowboy's fan with a reasonable outlook regarding his team. Nearly all the Cowboy fans I've met in the past are the jump on a table in the bar and rip off their shirt while screaming the "My Boy's are the best thing to happen to the US since Davy Crockett killed all the invading Mexicans at the Alamo with his bare hands!" kind of fans. If I'd run across more Dallas fans with your attitude I'm pretty certain I wouldn't loathe them so much.

Honestly I just don't think Romo is the guy. He's not consistent and I don't think I've ever seen him come trough with the BIG game on the line. I honestly think they need to lose him and build a new team around another QB.

Looking at the rest of their season I think .500 for the remaining games is realistic. I mean they should (freaking better) crush my Seahawks next week, then Buffalo's going to pound them like a cheap hooker the following week. And the rest of the season goes on like that for them... I think.

I can get them at 3. My head was leaning toward SD. Think I'll just shy away. I had my hand on the button ready to take Dallas last night just didn't get the enter key hit until it was too close to kick off. Dodged a big loss there. I'm showing the O/U at 44.5, 70% of people in Vegas are taking the over, that could be money too.

Blah, I'm up this weekend and partly (mostly?) due to complete dumb luck. Think I'll sit this one out.

It's like the_jazz went into my brain, pulled out all of my jumbled thoughts about Tebow and then presented them coherently and concisely without me having to do it! What a champ. Thanks, jazz.

That's pretty much what I feared, fflowley and Tully Mars.
I haven't had any confidence in Romo since his debut, and especially when he got involved with Jessica Simpson.
You gotta question his mental capacity in something like that. (thinking with the wrong Romo, I guess)

When they don't win this year, maybe the Cowboy's organization will come to their senses...

    Thanks, guys.

Well I grew up in a 9'ers house and due to location have been a Seahawks fan since they joined in the mid 70's. Been a long dry spell for me.

9'ers are looking a little better this year but they're not getting any where in the post season. They have yet to be really be tested. Sure they beat the Lions, which actually means something this year. But Dallas beat them at home, that's not a good sign. Looking at the rest of their schedule it looks pretty light. I can see them taking up to 6 of the next 9 games. But they're going to likely lose to NYG, BAL and PIT is going to tear them apart. Their schedule and their division puts them in the post season but they're out in the first round.

And the Hawks? They just need to start entirely over. First step get rid of Jackson and find a real pro QB. Maybe he could be made into a pro QB but I have serious doubts about Carroll being the guy to do it. Some of his play calling, esp. time management and TO's, have been nothing short of "WTF!?!"

I have no personal opinion on the man as I had not even heard of him until recently and only seen his picture on the book about his life on the shelves at work, but hating on Tebow is a popular subject by some of the guys at work on the same shift. All that comes to mind off the top of my head "they only beat Miami" and heard more than once from a kid from Georgia (paraphrase) "Tebow is just a fullback playing quarterback"
Personally I am not sure what a fullback even is without checking on Wikipedia.

I have mixed emotions this year. The Browns suck, McCoy is just another Tebow over rated and over his head. A lot of locker room issues in that clubhouse. They just can't win.

On the other hand the Bengals are surprising the Hell out of me. Granted they haven't played and won against anyone who is anyone, but for a team that lost their QB and didn't know who they were starting there at the beginning of the season and they lost their over the hill #1 WR, they are scoring and seem to have a better offense without those 2. Seeing Palmer play in Oakland tells me he's pretty much a has been/never was over rated player.

Don't know what Ochocinco is doing haven't followed him this year, I hope he's doing ok and some TD dancing for the Pats. I always liked Chad.

I think that Cincy just may sneak into the wild card berth. The Clowns may if they are lucky win another game (hopefully 2 more, both against the f'n black and gold). it's like OSU, can lose every other game but when you play Pitt/Michigan you better fucking win, cause that is how the fans remember the season. Oh ya went 2 and 14 with 2 wins over Pitt? You are a success. You went 14 and 2 with 2 losses to Pitt you losers.

It's interesting to see a former professional quarterback say "you start practicing that exchange when you're 12. Gotta crowd the center. I did that when I was 12. Rivers has got to think this is a nightmare. This is one of the most basic things for a quarterback."

Hey, at least Tebow didn't make the same mistake.
