The dude is talented as hell, he just has crap luck with films. His pictures are either blockbusters and critical successes (very rare) or radioactive waste (more common). I don't know why this is: he's funny as all fuck. But he just has awful film mojo.

I don't understand the disrespect for these proven artists.
If they have artistic control, and not the studio, the movie should be just fine.

I don't think anyone should expect the former glory to be reclaimed—for anything. This isn't the '70s.

You need to take it for what it is: Most of the troupe coming together again decades later and making something new.

They're tossing in Robin Williams. They're making a science fiction film.

There is potential, but from what I've been reading, it's an animated film, so these are voice roles.

The only thing that's disappointing is that none of them are writing it. The screenplay is by Gavin Scott, who has a mixed bag of credits.

I think the biggest influencer here is that Terry Jones is directing it. He's no Terry Gilliam, but having one of them helm it might help.

Hope it's a good flick but not a fan of using a name that means nothing now. Python has passed on, no more, ceased to be, expired and gone to meet it's maker. A stiff, bereft of life it rests in peace. It's rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. Robin Williams is a talented fellow. Let's hope the cast fits together better than those crappy puzzles I had as a kid. Those little wire dingle deals were no match for a pair of pliers and strong will.
