Resurrecting this thread, as I'm getting my mojo back.



In case you're curious, my inspiration for this piece came from my relationship with my father.

 

Isn't it funny how, as artists... If the mojo isn't there, we just don't feel like creating?

I hate the creative slumps I get in sometimes.

And, you're making me want to go out and buy supplies!

 

The emotional cage, when released, allows our creativity to fly.

 

That is very true. I hope to have more to share, soon.

 

If I knew more about art I'd attempt say something profound, but it wouldn't sound right. I'd better stay with the simple and true:

For me, it's true. When I am in a down mood, my work takes a dark turn - very murky and I don't care for the way it turns out. But if my mood is extremely low, art doesn't cross my mind. Writing takes over at that point.

Having a wee bit of trouble writing right now. Have to push through that as work awaits!
