A biscuit over here is a sweet thing, sugarry and ohhh so yummy. The thought of putting a sausage on a biscuit is yuck.

Yeah, a biscuit here is more of a soft, flaky bread. Somewhere between your muffin and toast. Great with sausage gravy, bacon and egg, sausage and egg, or a piece of boneless fried chicken.

American biscuits are somewhat like an English scone, but not sweet and maybe not quite as dense.

I love learning what the differences in our foods are, like we call chips ..well chips and you call them fries but your crisps are chips.
And the best one is you call an ass a fanny and we call a vagina a fanny. :D

I think it was Oscar Wilde who once wrote "England and America have everything in common except the language"

I probably had one back in the 80s, but after seeing how it is made, it is banned just like hot dogs.

There are a lot of those that you find when you travel to England or Australia.

On one of the forums I read from time to time, there was a big debate over the word fanny and why this uptight religious & conservative US mod had used it a few times in a post, yet the Brits were shocked. And the mod didn't know why.

    pan6467 a triangle in a circular world.

I wonder if this is a cause for sarcoidosis, I ate them like crazy as a kid. It's amazing how we are supposedly the most "civilized" nation in Earth's history but we still try to poison our people in the name of greed.

For those still eating at McD's...... 1 word SUBWAY (or Mr. Hero), I have to watch my money so when i eat out it is a true treat. I am NOT wasting my money on food that is disgusting and it costs $10 to eat enough to almost not be hungry anymore. That's why I LOVE either Chipotle (a little pricey for me, but well worth it as it can feed me for a full day) or Subway, which is cheap and also fills me for a day. Mr. hero isn't bad, BUT they are harder to find and for some reason they don't fill me like Subway or Chipotle. I also like a good Chinese Buffet, cheap and all you can eat chicken flavored cat.

I have NOT eaten at McD's in almost 2 years. Unfortunately, when I was in the hospital 2 years ago, they had a McD's in the hospital, so IF I wanted "real food" I'd go get some fries, but that was very rare. It's not that i try to eat healthy, far from it. I just have found better, more filling food for less. I can't even smell McD's without getting sick.

2010 was the last time I ate a sandwich at McDonald's (or anything from there other than a lone sausage biscuit in early 2011). It was a McRib.
