Bleh. My little brother likes the McRib, but I just don't get the appeal. I'd rather have a salad, and I don't like salads.

How true. Folks rave about different "secret" barbeque sauces, but the secret, if there even is a secret, to good bbq comes from the smokehouse, not the sauce kitchen.

    Just say no!

  5. I like the McRib. I think the McNuggets have a few extra 'ingredients' too. I can relate to a rib, but nuggets scare me.

The hell, man? McNuggets with Sweet'n'Sour sauce is the best stuff McDonald's has ever offered and will ever offer. Fucking addictive.

I can eat the ass outta McNuggets, and probably do. Still, McRibs have a hold on me that's almost mystical.

Exactly. Rationally designed with precise texture, chew and amounts of salt and fat to make you want more.
    It even resembles real food!

Seems that the issue here is that the FDA allow flour improvers that are banned in the civilised world. ;-)

  10. Sure they are. I hear them clown scientists at Ronald McDonald lab get paid in gum to make them that way.

I'll grab a couple cheeseburgers a couple times a year, but I've never tried a McRib. Never had any desire to.
I'm on the road all day too and the only thing I use McD's for is the bathroom.

I've seen how they make a "chicken slurry" for the extrudable chicken mcnuggets. I wonder if they do the same thing to pig leftovers for mcrib meat. That said, I've eaten a couple of mcribs in my day.

DO not do Mcmurder burger as a rule, but in France I swear they add something to the Mcmuffin, it is palatable. Ther emust be regional differences not even sure they do the mcrib in the UK, not surprised seeing as one of the ingredients is banned lol
Was this not true of the pink 'slime' they used in the US and I seem to recall they were buying cow meat from Africa as it was cheap cuts for the burgers.
    Go local !

McRib fanatic here, I've always know MickyD's has been far from healthy for you. so I'm not too surprised about this story. Doesn't effect my choices though. I'll be the first one in line to get one next go around.

it's the least healthiest way to start the day. But oh so very good. take a buttermilk biscuit and put a sausage patty inside to make a quick and easy breakfast.
