I needed to get some local eggs and knew I was going to be in NOLA this weekend, so I'd miss the farmer's market.
My 3:30 rescheduled for tomorrow, so I got to swing by the mini-version down the street.
The egg lady recognized me and had saved me a dozen :)
I have eggs for the week, woo hoo!

I miss the free range (well, sort of) eggs that my wife used to get from one the kids at her school. He had area of the yard fenced off and let it grow pretty much wild. He have the chickens feed, but they also ate worms, crickets, grasshoppers, ticks, other various bugs, lizards, and even the occassional snake. Talk about a rich yolk! Yummy.

I was pumping my own gas (only the 2nd time I've done it since we moved; before that, it had been six years), when this car pulled into the Costco gas behind me. Despite the WA plates, the woman apparently couldn't pump her own gas (WTF). It made me feel better about myself.

I forgot to post here on Wednesday... I hit a goal!
    In 2003, I was 224 lbs. By late 2004, I was 175.
By mid-2005, I was 128... and really unhealthy.
I bounced around for years, back up to 172 at one point in 2011 or 12.
When I left for Louisiana, I was somewhere between 150 and 150 lbs.
I stepped on the scale Wednesday, and I was at 134.
And, I have muscles. My calves, my arms, and my core are getting stronger.
My goal was a lean 140 with appropriate musculature.
I'm learning what my body likes to do and eat, and I'm feeling better than I have in longer than I can remember.
And, I turn 38 in August. Go me.

    I was right.
    I wasn't wrong.

And now I have a headache from everything beforehand.
    Vacation please.

Knowing my house is the cleanest out of our generation of the family and getting credit for it is very nice. Almost makes up for my MIL being obsessed with my temporary unemployment.

You could just tell your MIL you have a very important intern position.
It's strictly online so you will be able to work from home.
You will be creating content and supporting the revamp of a fixture on the Internet.

I've actually managed to carve out a restful day....even with the in-laws staying over.

    Who'd have thought it possible?

I just woke up from a series of vivid dreams and whipped out my phone to record them using my voice memo ap, despite speaking with the deep, husky voice of a just woken chain smoking phone sex operator.

I should start doing this more often.

    ...Ok, back to sleep.

I patched a 55"x22" hole in my ceiling ALL BY MYSELF! Can't help but be proud. It was hard as hell with no help.
